I hope they do some PA passes with Johnson in the backfield. With all the hype, LB's will be keying on him like teams did when Hester was lined up in the backfield.

I highly doubt that a freshman in his first college game ever on the road touches the ball on 20% + of our offensive plays.

Kid needs to touch the ball 15 times a game IMO, maybe not in his first game, but he's our most electric play-maker.

10 touches a game should be the floor on what he gets. Unless Mike James just shows up like one of the old Canes RB's. Even then, I'd like to have Duke touching the ball as much as possible.

Thats what I understood, but all that is out the window if we breaks one early

From all accounts James is poised to have a pretty big year. Golden knows he can depend on James and Clements to pass protect, protect the ball, etc.

Like some have said before, it would be refreshing to see Fisch use Duke in a De'anthony Thomas type role. A Kevin Williams/Trent Jones/Jonathan Harris type role if you will.
