Al Golden is our Lloyd Carr

Lloyd Carr would beat Golden 992 times out of 1000.

Like a rented mule.

Please, Carr couldn't be Appalachian State 2 times out of 2.

Lloyd Carr won a national championship, was 19-8 against top ten opponents, had six 10-win seasons, and a bunch of conference titles. Golden has zero 10 win seasons, zero national championships, zero conference championships, zero division championships, and ONE win against a team with 8 or more wins.

Lloyd Carr takes a giant **** on Al Golden by every measure imaginable, and Lloyd Carr was far from a great coach.

Lock it.

BOOM!

We thrash the worst VT squad in recent history and the Golden dck riders come outta da woodwerks. Btw, not aimed at the OP....

Carr was a good football coach. The guy won 5 Big Ten conference championships. He was also 5-1 prior to Tressel. Butch was 1-5 versus Beamer and it took an injuried Michael Vick to beat them in 2000. Everybody forgets how maligned Butch was before the 2000 season.

Add to that that Lloyd Carr was a Michigan man and never looked to dip out on Michigan and it is a slaughter.

How does this related to the thread?

Orangetiefatface made a proposterous claim last night. I guess the comparison is more about the fan-base's displeasure and inability to do anything about it. Could be wrong though, we'll see come December but Im not expecting a coaching change(but what do i know, im the same guy the compared Golden to Carr).

Because he made an analogy between Carr and Golden which doesn't make sense. I think we all agree that Butch Davis was a good football coach. Most of us seem to forget that he was absolutely crashed by the fan base until he beat FSU in 2000. Was not a "banner" flown over the Orange Bowl in 1997 thanking Butch for "Champs to Chumps"?

So a conversation comparing Carr to Golden triggers the addition of Butch Davis to the conversation. Interesting.

Some closet FSU fans are scared to death we'll get Butch back.
