The conference champion went 1-4. It took year 6 to get to double digit wins. He creatively got us through probation and set the foundation for the 34 game win streak. While all this is true given his circumstances Davis still showed more promise than Golden has. Despite being down-30 ships and the bad press he was able to beat a highly rated, top 5 ucla squad and not lose in inferior teams with more losses than wins.
