Not flaming, serious questions. What do you see in Chud that would make him a successful college coach? I honestly don't know much of his college background outside of his time at Miami.

3 National Titles at Miami (2 as player and 1 as coach)
Led Miami's best offense in school history
Played under Jimmy and coached under Butch
Guy is an offensive genius. He turned around every single offense he coached in the NFL.

The two knocks on him are recruiting and his one season in Cleveland.

Regarding the Cleveland situation....you are talking about the worst franchise in the NFL by far. They were doing fine until Derek Anderson wenbt down and he was forced to start Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell.

Butch failed miserably in Cleveland also.

The biggest farce is his recruiting ability because of his perceived personality.

Two things on that issue.

First, the most miserable coaches on the planet are the best recruiters (Saban, Meyer, etc.) Kids flock to those programs because they know they will be coached up. Also, the assistants do most of the recruiting. We currently have a bunch of worthless assistant coaches recruiting.

I think Chud could put together a dynamite staff including both Cristobal and Dorsey.

Cristobal and Chud are very tight. Chud was roommates with his brother.

Chud is by far the best choice and kids would flock to Miami when he sits in the living room with 3 rings and discusses his coaching resume.

Also, pay attention to what Dorsey is doing with Cam Newton in Carolina. Unbelievable job.
