Interesting if true, would like to see some confirmation.
I know Al was pretty fired up for the whole game. He wants to be Miami, his goal was to be the 1st guys to come in and win and actually stick around. His seemed pretty passionate about it back then, and we all were pretty excited about that as well.
Getting rid of Coach D would be one of the best career move Al has made, and IF he can get over the hump that is the ACC championship, the rest would be history....I am one of those that still think that Al can be a great head coach for us, but each day that I see Coach D still on the staff that trust diminishes a little more. Al can not let something like that drag his career down, I know what is like looking out for friends, best friends, brothers, etc...At some point you have to realize that you can only do so much as a friend, and sometimes the best friends demonstrate a little tough love too..

"Look we have been doing this for a long time, and I think we need to go back to the drawing board. I need to do what is best for this team, and you should evaluate your scheme. Hit the film room, I still have some connects back at Temple and we can get you on in the American somewhere"

"Dude that's *%$#ed up!"
