Love it. Been following this for a while. Hope he makes it to one of the 4 top Hendrick Teams. Those are all potential championship teams.

Interesting, did not know that he was headed in this direction. Good for him.

Just a very minor quibble here, actually OP did nothing wrong, but wouldn’t it have sounded better if the title would’ve been something along the lines of “Al blades vying for spot on championship NASCAR crew” rather than “tire changer”.

Again, not taking a swipe, just a thought about maybe a slight improvement?

And I know it’s correctly descriptive, and that is what they’re called, I’m just thinking of juicing the marketing up a little bit for this guy

Yeah I clicked on the thread thinking it was going to be something negative about the kid, based on the title lol

Joe Gibbs modernized the process from garage guys smoking camels to NFL/D1 guys who are athletes first and used to training, film, tough coaching.
That’s where I learned it from. I used to go to races because Texas Instruments sponsored Aikman’s old HOF Racing team. He’d come into the suite before most races to talk and answer questions. His team purchased old Gibbs equipment and one of the things Gibbs taught him was that former athletes make great pit crews.
