Aime just decommited

Do people actually care of commitments or decommitments with this staff anymore?

It's impossible to get excited or mad at this point for me.

its a joke. i can't even enjoy following recruiting anymore...this staff has killed all interest.

Completely agree. I'll be happy to start following it again when this clown show of a staff is tossed head first out the door.

The decommitment total is already up to 8 for 2016. It's only June.

Chauncey Gardner
Dredrick Snelson
Keyshon Camp
Isaiah Johnson
McArthur Burnett
Greg Simmons
Devin Gil
Walvenski Aime

Half those guys are takes in any Miami class based on talent alone (Gardner, Snelson, Camp, and Burnett). The other four probably should've never been pursued in the first place. But it's a really, really bad look to have so many decommitments this early coming off a year when we had more than any other program in the country.

In my opinion Simmons is the best prospect of that group. I was never impressed with Burnett at RB.

If only these kids actually had to sign something when they "committed" - then you would easily be able to tell the kids that are really committed vs those using this as a platform to increase their value.

I think the fools are the coaches running out there claiming they have commitments (Al I'm looking at you), when you know **** well that 50% will be gone by NSD.

It doesn't really matter how many decommits we get now, as long as we sign a full class of talent. Decommits are going to happen, it's just how it goes, especially now that recruiting has boosted on the underclassmen as well, kids are very indecisive. The decommits you guys should worry about is when everyone starts dropping because we were coached to another terrible season.

the real reason behind it is...the love affair of this particular staff in pushing for actual commitments...they want them all in by summer ot focus on their horrible coaching during the season...so they just force early commitments...i mean we have commitments from 6th graders already and it makes no sense...as um is used as the bait to draw these kids real offers.

-The thing is ..its a catch 22 as you HAVE to offer these kids early as well.........because s.fla kids are divas....and they just want to be able to say they ave an offer from this particular school on their instagram.

Dont know how they should play it..but i fully expect us to have the decommit record AGAIN this year and going forward with this staff. Wait till the losing start during the season..oooowee?

Golden better win this year!

you can offer and recruit kids hard without encouraging an early verbal. its not a catch 22....just build the relationships first. no need to be any more complicated than that.

Agreed, I simply cannot believe this many kids are choosing to pull the trigger on Miami this early without pressure. I think that golden knows it will be harder to fire him 4 weeks into the season if he has a stellar 16/17/18 recruiting class lines up than if he didn't. Wether it is enough to save his job, or if he is even truly on the hot seat aside, there is no way this isn't strategic and deliberate.

You offer early down here, if they commit they commit, you wouldnt let them commit? I can tell you these kids are only committing to save a spot if we start to win again, we have a winning season most of the kids already committed will stay committed, and lol at saying not to offer kids early, if you dont every coach and everyone here would be crying why they didnt get one

There is no 2016 class if Golden remains coach. And if he is fired after the season, you can bet on another circus before the new HC is hired, and it will be a case of trying to pull in a last minute effort.

Only way we get a real 2016 class is if Golden is fired midseason, and a real HC is hired quickly.

Is not clear that those kids commit early because they know Butch Davis is going to be the next hurricanes head coach? The current Miami's Staff has nothing to do with.
