Aime just decommited

I don't think anyone was too excited he comitted in the first place. I don't want someone who can't hold a commitment for a week.

Do people actually care of commitments or decommitments with this staff anymore?

It's impossible to get excited or mad at this point for me.

Everybody was crying about taking this commitment but go crazy about it

Glad we lost gil and all but if studs start trying decommiting before the seadon starts then its a wrap lol. Golden just win

I wish we went back to the old days when kids didn't do anything until NSD. All this "commitment" mess just started within the last 10-15 years...Before that kids wouldn't say anything about where they were going or tip their hand..You found out by calling into the Bill Barnwell (from the Orlando Sentinel I think) recorded NSD special on that morning and that was the only time you knew...smh.

Nothing has come through from him yet this is all being fed by Scout.com which intern fed it Bleacher Report but yet they all don't directly quote Walvenski Aime's himself. So lets see what is really going on.

Here is the Bleacher Report Feed Reporting it from scout.

Here is his profile on scout which he is decommitted but not direct comment from him
Scout.com - College and High School Football, Live National Signing Day Coverage, Recruiting, NFL, and MLB Front Page

An his twitter account seems quiet so something is amiss here.

I stopped caring about pre-Fall commitments/decommitements a long time ago.

Once it gets closer to signing day, then I'll start caring again (maybe).

Hilarious! And some folks on this site get excited for 2017 and 2018 commits when we can't keep 2016...

don't care if you liked his commitment or the others. ever looks good for the class to have this many decommits already.

While the amount of decommitments we've had is rather concerning, this kids tape looked awful. Not losing much sleep over this one.

its a joke. i can't even enjoy following recruiting anymore...this staff has killed all interest.

the real reason behind it is...the love affair of this particular staff in pushing for actual commitments...they want them all in by summer ot focus on their horrible coaching during the season...so they just force early commitments...i mean we have commitments from 6th graders already and it makes no sense...as um is used as the bait to draw these kids real offers.

-The thing is ..its a catch 22 as you HAVE to offer these kids early as well.........because s.fla kids are divas....and they just want to be able to say they ave an offer from this particular school on their instagram.

Dont know how they should play it..but i fully expect us to have the decommit record AGAIN this year and going forward with this staff. Wait till the losing start during the season..oooowee?

Golden better win this year!

Jass,
that was Bill Buchalter of the Orlando Slantinel. I remember waiting for his columns on the day after NSD in the early 90's with baited breath to see who Dennis Erickson had signed to be on the next great Canes team. Then he introduced the "innovation" of calling a phone line dedicated to the Canes (and Gators, Noles, etc. had theirs) commitment list on signing day itself.
Amazing how primitive life was before the internet.

Good call! I don't know where I got the name Bill Barnwell from. lol. But yeah, the internet is great in some ways because of the instant news cycle but it sucks because it gives these kids WAY to much attention and all this commit/decommit/"I am announcing my top 20 via twitter and will be announcing my top 10 in 3 months" crap is getting stupid.

All that said, I hope this is a bad rumor because I actually really liked this kids athleticism. He is a workout warrior for now but **** hes got some #s any coach can work with. (6'3 295, 4.7 40, 35' vert, 350 bench, 500 squat) Cant argue those numbers.

Completely agree. I'll be happy to start following it again when this clown show of a staff is tossed head first out the door.

The decommitment total is already up to 8 for 2016. It's only June.

Chauncey Gardner
Dredrick Snelson
Keyshon Camp
Isaiah Johnson
McArthur Burnett
Greg Simmons
Devin Gil
Walvenski Aime

Half those guys are takes in any Miami class based on talent alone (Gardner, Snelson, Camp, and Burnett). The other four probably should've never been pursued in the first place. But it's a really, really bad look to have so many decommitments this early coming off a year when we had more than any other program in the country.
