Miami is working on another splash in the secondary as 247Sports' Tom Loy noted on Thursday morning.
The Hurricanes have long been fans of Dothan (Ala.) cornerback Ai'King Hall, who gave Oregon a verbal commitment this spring. Miami was in the thick of that recruitment prior to his pledge to the Ducks. There were plans for King to visit Miami in the spring, but after his pledge, those got shut down.
From what I have gathered, Miami has been in the Yellowhammer State to see King in person this spring, and that has created an opportunity for the Hurricanes to make a move. While I wouldn't be as aggressive to say that a flip is happening, I get the sense that there is some momentum for the Canes in this recruitment.
New cornerbacks coach Terry Jefferson has been working on King and appears to have helped create some serious traction. We're tracking this one closely.
