Ahmmon Richards...

Calm down guys, he didn’t catch a pass during the ND game and his yardage vs. VT mostly came on one play. It absolutely sucks that happened to him but if we execute we should still win.

Defenses had to prep for him. Whether he caught balls or not, he opened up everything

Definitely hurts the team Saturday, in reality though he's a great player but has been injured all year accounting for only 2 touchdowns. I think we will miss Herndon more. Best of luck to Richards recovery. He'll be back stronger and better next year!!

God willing, the injury is not too serious and he can make a full, complete and quick recovery. Heard it looked bad, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Need to see what the docs say.

3tds which was 3rd on the team.

The 3rd and 20 catch along with block on AJ Westbrook were momentous plays in the FSU game, which was arguably the catalyst for this season. Sucks to lose him. Time for Cager to redeem himself.

AR Stats in Biggest Games This Season:

3 Catches for 57 No TD's against VT
0 Catches for 0 No TD's against ND

Not trying to downplay his loss (and it's a big time loss), but our Offense doesn't run through him. This game still is on Malik. The WR's are still going to be open. The throws have to be made.

Obviously dont know football. Nd was using a lot of bracket coverage on richards. The guy draws attention when he is on the field.

this, his presence alone changes things

Most causual fans don't realize the impact and worth of players if they arent having a huge year statistically

It's not so much losing Richards as it's losing Richards and Herndon at the same time. Especially on an offensive that already has been playing without Mark Walton. At some point the collective loss of three of your most potent weapons becomes too much to overcome on a roster that still lacks depth.

Miami WR Ahmmon Richards is out for the rest of the season with a torn meniscus, suffered in practice today.

TE Chris Herndon was No. 2 on the Canes in catches, Richards No. 3. Both lost for the year, to knee injuries, in the last five days.

So it wasn't ACL, but a torn Meniscus. In terms of for next season, this is good. But obviously still terrible for the rest of this season.

I think they absolutely do understand this aspect. The problem is, this notion has been GREATLY overstated in regards to Richards this season.

Thankful it wasn't worse, was worried it was an ACL from the early rumblings.

But ****ity **** ****.

Maybe this forces Richt to give Langham more burn and he continues his role as game day Jesus Christ?

Maybe Cager shows out? He's had some dope catches in the past few weeks, maybe he puts together a clutch game.

There are ways to win this game, but it got a bit harder.

I love AR. Heal up, man. Huge bummer for the rest of this year. Excited to see him ready next year for his $ season...

Obviously losing him sucks, but the thing that really hurts is not having him as a treat. He hasn't had a great year, but teams still had to worry about him, so even when he wasn't targeted, he was drawing attention away from the other guys.
