Ahmmon Richards Tweet

My goodness, I can't stand all of these cryptic tweets. Either say what you mean or shut up. But of course CIS will create a 100 page thread trying to decipher some coded message (I'm not excluded from this) and by page 27 someone will insult someone else and the thread will devolve into a good ol fashioned ****ing contest. I blame Blake. Just had to get that off my chest. Carry on CIS.

Pretty sure it had to do with the Christopher Columbus game, because it was just after the tweet Alonzo made about them winning the championship and celebrating.

I don't know anything about the chances of Highsmith coming to Miami. But I always believed in my heart that he would do wonders if he conmes here. He is a FOOTBALL Management GUY. It would be the best thing that happened to Miami since 2001 NC.

I’m going with
1. Blake James is losing football to Highsmith
2. Highsmith will have input on personnel
3. AR has two years of eligibility left
4. Urban Meyer to the []_[]
Need to have one those grand parties for a whole week where no one is left standing.

What exactly makes this guy a qualified athletic director? How do we know he is going to be any better than Blake James?

By virtue of his his position as AD he will oversee the football program. That is the heart and soul of athletics in any major university. That is where the money comes from. That's where prestige comes from.

Football revenues subsidize almost every other collegiate sport. Except maybe basketball in some universities. Successful football program also helps attract athletes to other sports.

If he makes football very successful, it will trickle down to other sports. He also can delegate some areas of the athletic department to skilled assistants which is part of his overall management responsibility.

I love A.R. and wish that he could have fulfilled his dream of having a long football career. However, when it comes to his "insider" tweets, I think he just likes to troll the fanbase. Remember, he kept tweeting about how much he love Fedora hats when Diaz when the Fedora vs Applewhite rumors were swirling during our OC search.

I think he is just having a little fun.

I don’t think Blake gets fired until Manny gets fired. If somehow Manny turns this around (doubt it) Blake will keep his job. And if that happens I can’t see Highsmith taking a job that’s clearly a step down to just run football. Maybe he’s ready to move back to Miami and has no aspirations of running an NFL team, after what’s happened in Cleveland this year, idk. I just don’t see him even considering coming unless he’s the AD.
