The more I think about the UF game the more I see striking similarities to our opening game versus LSU.

On one hand, there is a team coming off of a great season with a newer coach. They win 10 games but arguably should've actually won 8-9. They are hyped and likely will start the season well inside the top ten. They are making some noise on the recruiting front and are excited about 2019.

In reality, they lost some key players, and were not a true 10 win team to begin with.

The other team, is wounded. They had a lackluster season. Minimal offensive production but a playoff caliber defense. They have been in turmoil recruiting wise but are just making a recovery. Coach retired. New coach brings optimism has he starts to land some transfers.

Arguably none more important the the QB transfer from Columbus Ohio. There will be a QB battle over the offseason, but Ohio St. man will prevail.

The team will be underrated and a heavy underdog. But I just have this feeling that these kids love their coach and are going to go out there and smack UF in the mouth.

A wounded animal is very dangerous.

LSU also had a new offensive coordinator who was not an OC the season before leaving the defense with minimal film to prep with.

Not to mention, we know how this group plays as underdogs.

Just some optimism to keep this momentum going...

This should be a big advantage, we know everything that they do, they should have no idea what we're bringing on offense,

But these coaches have been around each other a lot
 
I don't know if what you said was true, but we're in a much more realistic position to beat UF then we were 30 days ago. 30 days ago we had a HC who's owned by UF. He was also the worse OC in football, College or Pro. He also had his unqualified son coaching QB's so you knew there would of been zero improvement there.

Now? We have a energetic HC with new ideas. A OC who not only called plays in the SEC but also has developed QB very well. Defense will be the same for the most part but we might see small changes that hopefully stops the run better then when Manny ran the defense.

I love that Manny has been paying attention to the field position stats. So expect Manny to actually improve our ST unit.

and the QB of the favored team is a shytbag in hiding who had a way better season than his ability can produce consistently
 
The football gods haven’t been good to us the last couple decades. Maybe we should start thinkin about playing for the other side.
