I wouldn’t mind a transfer fee system implemented like European soccer. Especially for lower level programs like Duke
I'm sorry, I was too busy watching the Canes in the playoffs to pay attention, but what change did almighty Duke cause to the system?
According to them it was a leak from Mensah’s people to send a signal to Miami not to move on and also signal a willingness to negotiate with Duke since Duke holds all the cards apparentlyStill? Even after the post came out about duke and mensahs team are in discussions about trying to get this settled before it goes to court?
Correct. In Germany, when the brothers inherited the business, the had a disagreement over whether they should sell tobacco. The split into aldi nord and aldi sud (north/south). Aldi nord is what we know as Trader Joe’s, and aldi sud is what we know as aldi. Most nations get one or the other, but we have both. It is why there is so much crossover on the products they sell
About what I would expect from a CFB message board…From the Duke board:

"Decades ago I was a young trial attorney for the Army Corps of Engineers who was fortunate to be entrusted with a number of really big cases in federal court. One of the Commanders I had was a Bird Colonel on his way to becoming a General. He taught me the difference between a "mission" case and a case that was just about "money".
For Duke this case is about "mission" for the sanctity of its Program and as well as the sanctity of contracts which it has . For Menseh it's just about the "money" he makes if he wins. That is a big advantage driving Duke. Duke will have a lot of staying power and can and will afford to stay in the fight all the way through Arbitration and beyond if necessary."

Interesting discussion and recent news. I'm not supportive at all for Duke to settle for just money. If it's money and Mensah not playing in the Fall anywhere, I'm cool with it. If Duke just rolls over, takes a few million, and calls it a day, with us playing Miami in the Fall against Mensah, then like others have said, I'm out.
Duke must take a stand against Mensah's self-centered, narcissistic, and egregious behavior. Anything less than him not playing in college next year is unacceptable, imho.

As the old saying goes “you got to stand for something or you will fall for anything” I surely hope Duke stands up and doesn’t settle. As a fan I will be thoroughly disappointed if they settle for just money because that’s what created this mess in the first place!
Interesting opinions on their board. The majority seem to want him to pay for ******** them at the last minute by not being able to play anywhere this upcoming season. Many want $$. One guy even factored in the cost of them losing out on the CFP $$ they may make next year with him as their QB (that's a laugh!). They want him humiliated and want him to publicly admit wrongdoing. Oh, and they want to see Miami suffer.......
Some crazy stuff over their...
No that is not true.
It rains more in Miami (by inches of precipitation) than almost any other city in the country.
Also, Publix is overrated and grossly overpriced. The only reason to shop at Publix is the BOGOs and even those are fading in South Florida in favor of BTGO (buy two get one) or buy one get 50% off.
Still? Even after the post came out about duke and mensahs team are in discussions about trying to get this settled before it goes to court?
They’re emotional and delusional and once this gets out of a state court they’re finished and that’s assuming no state judge follows the law. After the 29th Mensah needs to simply enroll at Miami, regardless. Duke can’t stop it.From the Duke board:

Mr. Nice Mon if I remember correctly. It was Jamaican/Chinese. It was on either Ives Dairy or Miami Gardens and 441. They’d have the “ Hot Bread Now” neon sign. Best Coco bread I’ve ever had.I don't know if it's there anymore. But right on Miami Gardens and 441, behind the dunkin donuts, there was a Jamaican bakery that had the best.

Any real information on this or guessing? @Cribby you hearing similar?Settlement in the works. Expecting this to be wrapped up in the next 48 hours.
Pretty interesting that Germany has produced two sibling rivalries that gave us global billion dollar companies. Sounds pretty similar to Adidas/Puma.Correct. Very well Might happen. But are we now looking at mandys word like he's ever spoken the gospel? The used car salesman, the politicians son? I've had enough dealings with mandy to know he speaks with all of elmer fudds gift of gab. Born ****** liar.Manny said on a pod last nite he’s starting classes Wednesday
That would've been a HUGE (pause)gainThe play where his knee was down on the tunnel screen was a low-key missed opportunity. He had room on that play.
