now that JoJo is gone, getting Cooper makes even more sense!
Actually, I think that’s a fair reading of the agreement. That’s how one-sided it is (and how bad his counsel was). The way I read it Mensah could declare for the draft/get drafted and Duke would have a right (not an obligation) to cancel the agreement. But it theoretically could continue paying him and retain the exclusive right to his NIL even while he was playing in the NFL. It’s essentially an adhesion contract sort of like your cell phone contract or the one Uber drivers have to sign.Hold the **** up. Did this guy just claim if Mensah is drafted, Duke could retain his NIL rights? So his NFL team and himself would just have to deal with it?
This is mental illness.
Agreed, and I am no Sanders fan.in reference to this......
Curt Cignetti was seen as building the team the right away and Deion Sanders was lambasted. lol
Similar to Miami n the portal at times to.
Its just funny how narratives can be pushed.
He was not a mile better vs Miami, better, but not overwhelming at all.I was one of those guys who thought overwhelming talent was required to win championships at the college level regardless of coaching but Cignetti single-handedly proved that theory wrong..he was the better coach by a mile on every game day for them n they never lost. Kudos to him, legendary accomplishment (Unless it comes out they were indeed cheating somehow)
They were two special teams plays better than Miami. He was not a mile better vs Miami, better, but not overwhelming at all.
I feel like we were thoroughly outcoached but that’s just my opinion we were severely more talented then them. Every time they needed a crucial play they had the perfect call n executed perfectly I mean they were going for it on 4th & 5s n everything in my body was expecting them to convert. Missed punt assignments, penalties, fielding a punt **** near inside the 5, all things wellHe was not a mile better vs Miami, better, but not overwhelming at all.
Like I said I would love to see that NFL v Duke court battle.Actually, I think that’s a fair reading of the agreement. That’s how one-sided it is (and how bad his counsel was). How is he just entering the portal? I thought the deadline to enter the portal was last week, aside from players on teams in the championship, Miami and Indiana.
I got there for the Nevin Shapiro bull****. Did not have a good time in that aspect.those were my undergrad years… sports were not enjoyable.
Here’s where I’m at:If we get ACC champion Duke’s QB and WR1 and still don’t win the ACC in 2026 then we might just be cooked fam
obviously more guaranteed money than Duke gave him, whatever that really wasHow muchwill he make here next year?! More than 4,000,000.00?
Yes, both coaches were heavy on the portal, but the results are different. Deion had some flash at the beginning but that fell away, especially now with his son graduated. Cignetti just won the national championship with a 16-0 season in the modern era.in reference to this......

Carlos Ledo does a good job here explaining this lawsuit:
Agreed. They were the best team all year, unfortunately.I will say, we have been really level headed about this NC loss. I’m actually surprised. But maybe that’s also the years of mediocrity coming into play. I for one considered this a successful year after we won against A&M in the first playoff game
We just ran into the well coached, disciplined team in Indiana and we still had our chances
