Afternoon game thread

USC would jump us.
It’s possible. But idk.

I think playoff committee would look at this as opportunity to shift the convo from Miami vs ND to Miami vs USC.

And with USC losing to ND, it would be insane to have them over us.

Either way, Oregon looks like they’re going to get in a rhythm and take this game over eventually.

I have no idea why more people aren’t talking about how USC winning is massive for us.

I think there’s a better chance Miami gets in over a 10-2 USC team and 10-2 Oregon team than a 10-2 Notre Dame.
Hmm....I think I agree with this but I think it's more like "no chance at all" (getting in over 10-2 ND under these ridiculous circumstances) & "slightly less than no chance at all" (in over Oregon and USC if USC beats Oregon).

I just don't think there's a possible future in which the Big10 and the ACC both get the same number of bids (2) which is what would happen if we got in over Oregon and USC

I don't think, by their own criteria, they could put USC ahead of us if they win.

Once they compare us, we don't have head to head.

So quality wins: ND>Oregon (they'll drop behind ND if they lose today)
Common opponents. We both played ND..we won and USC lost.

I’m rooting for USC.

Oregon is not in over Miami with 2 losses. Sportsbook agrees.

They would have two losses to good teams, but at home. No quality wins other than…4-loss Iowa? Pedo St? USC wouldn’t jump Miami because of the common opponent, yet different results. We’re pretty confident in that regard, so long as Miami takes care of business.
I don't doubt you but I gotta see it to believe it
