Afternoon game thread

the Oregon-SC thing is interesting.

If SC wins, they almost certainly beat UCLA and get to 10-2
If Oregon wins, SC's 3rd loss gets em outta here... and there's also a chance UDub beats Oregon at home

as mentioned Oregon has not many impressive wins

and SC lost to ND, who we beat.... if we're all 10-2 (SC/ND/us/Oregon), not sure how the committee would spot us. I FEEL like in the Bracket but it's pretty cloudy

IMO best case is Oregon close win and then they lose @ UDub (and I recognize this may be asking for too much)

Oregon losing moves ND up further especially after they win 80-0 against syracuse today so they cant compare us head to head. but doubt oregon drops behind us

TD Vandy

I've just accepted that we're getting zero help this week and next

Doesn’t matter if ND wins by a million because…. WE BEAT THEM

Transitive property doesn’t matter. The H2H does. Just root for PITT, Oregon, and Cincy

Trumpycane thinks we want USC

With all the pressure on the committee to put us in the playoffs no way they jump USC over us
I have no idea why more people aren’t talking about how USC winning is massive for us.

I think there’s a better chance Miami gets in over a 10-2 USC team and 10-2 Oregon team than a 10-2 Notre Dame.

I’m rooting for USC.

Oregon is not in over Miami with 2 losses. Sportsbook agrees.

They would have two losses to good teams, but at home. No quality wins other than…4-loss Iowa? Pedo St? USC wouldn’t jump Miami because of the common opponent, yet different results. We’re pretty confident in that regard, so long as Miami takes care of business.

Oregon win and a loss to Washington is what we want. USC winning means they possibly jump us, AND ND looks better for beating a 10-2 USC. I like USC but I need them to lose the next 2, and for Oregon to lose to Washington.

Hmmm yeah now I'm unsure (was originally rooting for Oregon). I think I'm so used to us getting screwed that I figured Oregon would for sure still be in.

Im of the opinion that USC winning does more than Louisville beating SMU and more than a Pitt win against GT.

Just too many things needed to get into ACC game.

USC introduces mega chaos and the conversation now shifts from Miami vs Norte Dame to Miami vs Notre Dame vs USC vs Oregon

That’s an ideal scenario (and they’ll be around -8 ish @UW next week fwiw depending on today’s game + potential players returning from injury on both sides ), but USC isn’t a threat to Miami. At least we don’t think so. Illinois loss is similar to ours vs SMU, and we have the H2H victory over a common opponent.
