Let's not panic. Were things silky smooth last night? Obviously not. However, there is a lot to be excited about to go with areas that need improvement. Takeaway 1: Jarren looked like a stud. He stood fearless in that pocket, stepped up, looked the part and threw a beautiful ball. He did hold onto it too long at times and threw into traffic a couple times late, but 15 looked great all things considered. Takeaway 2: The oline needs work. Ok, Ik this is obvious. Tackles looked even worse than we expected and the interior didn't offset it the way many of us thought they could. There's no getting around it. They were bad. However, let's not forget those tackles are BOTH Freshmen and Gaynor is a Center still making his first start. They will only get better from here under a coach with NFL experience. Takeaway 3: Gurvan isnt quite the Safety version of Gerald Willis we might've expected. A lot of us were expecting Gurvan to step in and fill for the production lost in both Redwine and Franchise. Maybe one day he will get there and he has definitely taken a step forward, but hes not a dominant force yet. Takeaway 4: These LBs will be missed in 2020. Sometimes we take for granted just how great this trio is. If it weren't for Quarterman, Pinckney and McCloud, many more chunk plays in the run game would've taken shape. Enjoy these last 12-13 games we have with them. Takeaway 5: My final takeaway is that a Manny Diaz team will not fold. There were many times last night I thought we would quit, just out of a subconscious habit I have built with other regimes. But we just kept responding. Was it the cleanest, most well coached game? No. But rest assured, this team will give Manny EVERYTHING it has. Week in and week out.

The team wasn’t ready. Too many mistakes. How doesn’t Enos pull Jaron to side and tell him to throw the ball away. Why isn’t Pope playing? Tate is playing snaps at wr. Smh. No downfield throws to the WRs. We aren’t using our speed at WR. If it wants for DJ we get destroyed.

Oline needs work? Oline needs their scholarships pulled.

Our LB trio aren't great, not even good. They're mediocre. They still looked 2 steps behind way too often and there was a glaring wtf moment with Shaq (Leaving Perine to pressure Franks). Shaq and Pinckney combined for 7 tackles. Sorry, but they'll be forgotten in Canes history.

Good report, but you’re a little off when speaking about the LB’s. I kept asking myself as the game progressed “ Where is Shaq and Pinc?”
