I love what I’m seeing from this group the offense wasn’t as bad as many made it appear.

Here’s some of the small things that happened during this game after looking at the game again.

Q1:
7:50 Deejay Dallas had a great run here. If he is a tad bit more patient and waits for Brevin to make the block here he bounces outside to reach the 35 bare minimum. Probably scores 6 if he was Lingard fast.

6:55 N’Kosi is young but you have to hit Brevin here and trust he picks up the first down. He’s wide open in the flat. Closest defender is 8 yards away. Easy first down here instead it’s 4th down after Cager drops the ball. (He’ll grow out of this)

Q2
9:03 N’Kosi needs to hit the wide open Brevin Jordan here way before the pressure gets to him. Brevin is getting a first down there easily! Instead he tucked the ball and started to try to run. Important 3rd down there.

0:39 4th down call he should check down to Homer instead of going for Wiggins. Homer is faster than that LB and will no doubt pick up that first down. He even reached his hand up like “hit me”.

First half notes (Francois was under pressure all game. I read some threads where dudes gave FSU OL props for the first half. Honestly the truth is the kid was under fire from the opening snap by this DL. He was also pressured/knocked down a lot. The kid made some gritty throws even under he’ll pressure! But I don’t know if I’ll say their OL had a “Great first half” looked pretty pedestrian to me.

Q3 14:03 Perry gets sacked but needs to hit Harley for the first down here. Again he’s a new starter so I expect these things to get cleaned up.

These are minor things of course. Just like any coach your still coaching even when you win. I just think there are some small things each game that make all the difference for one team or another.

On the bright side Perry dropped some absolute dimes and his intermediate throws were super dope.

Shoutout to Wiggins for drawing 3 PI calls also.

Better catching by the WRs, more accurate passes by Perry and less run calls on first down. FSU secondary was there for the taking. Also one thing i seen Golden did alot against FSU was alot of two TEs and leave atleast one in to block their edge rushers. That would give Jeff time to get down the field because they cant cover him.
