After Pitt - Two Personnel Adjustments

I agree on Mallory because he’s probably our best WR right now. Let him play on the outside when Jordan gets back in the lineup

"on an obvious third and long passing down, kick phillips inside, with harvey and roche on the edges, and HH in the A gap. "

Interesting thought. I think that would be very effective.

think about the length that gives you. it would be like staring at a bunch of redwood trees

I didn’t count Mallory’s snaps at the game, but every time I looked for him he was in. Often he was lined out wide.

Maybe you want him to get more targets, but I thought he got quite a few snaps. Did somebody do an actual snap count??

Personally, after Brevin is back, even if it’s not a “2 tight end set“ I’d like to see him lined up as a wide receiver.

I echo this post. I think Mallory has been getting snaps. I mean, I haven't looked at snap count from the 1st 4 games but I think he's gotten his fair share. I think the bigger problem is that with King's height, he struggles getting stuff to the middle of the field.

As it turns out, Mallory got the most offensive snaps other than King, of all the offensive players minus the lineman.

This is what happens when you actually watch the game, rather than just repeating other shlt people are saying

I've been saying that this offense needs to be run through the TEs since the start of the season. I didn't think our WRs were gunna be this ******* *** though. So now its even more critical we feed them the ball.

to be fair, it's the first game where he's got that level of burn and it was only due to jordan's injury. going forward, if jordan is healthy, it would be nice to see him get a lot of reps, and not be relegated to 20 something snaps per game

I know I'm being a broken record but I love the highlight video of Dunson on offense. We have him on defense but he could take some offense snaps.

Isaiah Dunson

Maybe somebody can look it up, but I think he’s gotten on average more than 20 snaps per game prior to the Pitt game.

Also, I was referencing peoples posts after the Pitt game. They were still saying stupid shlt like he didn’t get enough snaps.

Roch, Hunte, JP, JH on obvious passing downs is elite. Baker would have no reason to blitz. Press the corners,
Cover under neath & eat over of the top.

I was hoping that Lashlee would invent a TE- based Air Raid. Riley innovated by adding a power run game to the traditional Air Raid (taking advantage of the fact that Oklahoma had excellent RBs) , but as far as I know, no one has created a TE based Air Raid. Leach never used TEs- he once said that elite TEs would be very difficult to defend but he could never recruit TEs that weren't a compromise. Some could catch but couldn't run as fast as a WR so it made more sense to just use a WR, or they could block but not as well as a regular lineman. I think Miami's TEs are a cut above the TEs most teams have and would enjoy seeing an Air Raid that went through the TEs.
