Glad to hear an intelligent sounding kid is speaking highly of Banda the recruiter.

This kid seems to really be eyeing GT and us, so it’s essential we smash them this weekend while he’s on hand.
I don't think that beating GT is going to matter. If he's looking at GT, then he's seeing playing time and a high quality education. Obviously, Miami has that as well. However, if he's interested in Engineering, then his interest would be understood because GT has one of the best Engineering schools in the country.

There's many factors in a recruit's decision. They all have different priorities. Some value a winning program. Some value playing time. Education should be #1, but it varies for each recruit.

Harrell as a 10 grader ran track in only 2 meets and recorded a best of 11.76. Most guys as a sophomore that run a similar time are in the lower 11s. as a senior.
Speed development varies but as an example, had a cousin run in the lower 11.8 range as a sophomore as a senior posted just under 11.2 (I think 11.16) and he was 6-3 and about 195 as a senior.
One of the exercises he did was on the leg extension machine with both legs or one leg reps for 50 to 100 reps per set. It really developed his stamina for long speed. It was grueling. Michael Johnson former world record holder 200m in 19.32 use to do that.
