Latest OL commit and others are for sure filling a need. DL recruits are awesome, especially those they grabbed off the portal, same with TE's. To me last year our need was LB and RB and I don't see that hole being filled. If Manny had more depth at RB and at least 2 decent LB's things might look a whole lot different. I know we have a smart set of coaches and recruiters, I am hoping to see some stud LB's and hope they add one more RB and LB both via the portal for this year. I hope Chaney is healthy, that would be huge. Who will step up at LB with who we currently have?

Thank God he didn't

As of now I believe we are the front runner for one of the best Lbs in the country. And in play with a couple more. Go back to bed
I know we are loading for next year, I'm referring to the current squad.

Explain to me how you think we are thin at running back? Pretend you’re trying to explain something to a five-year-old so that I can understand.
1. Chaney - injured so we don't know his true potential just lots of hype
2. Knighton - carried a load last year but average carry was 3.9 yards
3. Franklin - shows potential but not a real breakout type player
4. Cashwell - zero stars walk on????
5 Henry Parrish - Flashed in the Spring game was a backup at Ole Miss not going to be a Duke Johnson or Portis. Think of who we've had in the past and which of these can compare? I hoped we would've recruited Frank Gore Jr, he is doing quite well at Southern Mississippi. Unfortunately there is nothing much on the portal to grab now.

Even with what you list, that doesn’t mean 5 RBs is THIN at RB.
You think maybe Mirabel will have a line that can push this year perhaps?

I like Mirabel and of course an improved OL will benefit the run game plus Gattis seems to design for a running game and Chaney can be special, lets hope he shows it and stays healthy.

1. Chaney - injured so we don't know his true potential - we don’t know his potential? - played in 13 games with 6.1 ypc
2. Knighton - carried a load last year but average carry was 3.9 yards - a full year of experience under his belt behind a better line in 2022
3. Franklin - shows potential but not a real breakout type player - this kid can play if given the chance, but with the other RBs I don’t know how much time he’ll get
4. Cashwell - zero stars walk on???? - he’s a walk-on
5 Henry Parrish - tons of experience playing two years with a 5.3 ypc last year in the SEC
6. Citizen - did your brain get Fraggled and you forgot he’s coming in?

Do you want tell me again how we are thin at running back?

You need every position every year. They don’t come in order of what you’re feeling nervous about. They come as we can get them. The good news it seems like a lot of them are coming.

I can't help but sit back and laugh... I mean even when you know something is going nowhere fast and it goes nowhere fast you still get somewhat amazed how fast it went nowhere.... I think that sums up the thread to this point... No??.. 🤣🤣🤣

We had the same RB's last year except Parrish replaces Cam'ron Harris and Cody Brown transferred, there were high expectations for Brown from Tennessee another SEC program ala Parrish now, another backup RB. How did that depth work out for us? Chaney and Harris injured, Knighton suspended 4 games, I said before the season last year we needed more RB's (there was one from BC I wanted) and more LB's. Just trying to be honest as history has a habit of repeating. I totally agree the new OL coach and Gattis should get more out of what we have, but we can't afford injuries or suspensions again. It isn't the numbers, its the lack of proven quality.

That's thin. I agree with Fraggle.

I'm feeling you you need at minimum 6 RB's that can play. Has nothing to do with potential or talent.
You dress or play 3 maybe 4 RBS for game. So you need 3 to play scout team.to against your 1s and 2s on practise to have good reps. Need to go deeper then what you see on the sidelines.
