ADIDAS VS NIKE

Notice how much cleaner and form fitting the Nike uniform is compared to Adidas. To those with the eye for it the difference in quality and functionality is readily apparent.

It was funny how becks jersey ripped from the back in the 1st half of the FSU game when he didn’t even really get hit at all.

Crappy design and material

Maybe it’s in this thread or another, but I was alluding to Nike becoming hyper aggressive w NIL meaning the pickings r going to become slimmer when athletes at Nike branded schools becoming Nike athletes & hit the transfer portal. They’ll just be recycled amongst other Nike/Jordan Branded Schools.

Elliot has made it clear that Nike’s shift in focus is no longer fancy collaborations, but back to its DNA of innovation & athletes. So cross DJ Pickett off ur wish list.

You still think we’re re-upping with the three stripes next year?

Truthfully? I haven’t really tapped in for a couple of months to gauge temps. I will say the “only” glimmer of hope, I see, is the buyers remorse Adidas is now having w both UTenn & PSU. They paid a **** ton of $$. Again, not sure if I posted it here or another thread (since it’s like 500 of these threads v. one, tidy shoes/apparel thread), but I specifically said UTenn will take a step back & Adidas will regret paying all that $$$ to get them back.

Other than that, I’m not so sure, but my gut is saying we probably will, unfortunately. Still 75/25, maybe more 80/20.

Probably for the best.

Now I don't have to spend thousands on Nike and/or JB merch and can instead just continue to buy nothing from Adidas.

I’m waiting for the ACC to force every program to wear Jordan uniforms just so there can be a basketball player on every football uniform.

if the Columbus mafia is gonna keep buying us top 10 classes and portal croots **** it.

The uniforms look x1000 times better than when we started with feathers and such.

The fan gear sucks but oh well i guess just keep stocking the war chest

If we stick with Adidas, hopefully they improve their fan gear. Cause it's been meh for a long time.
How do I know that a lot of the Nike loyalists don't pay attention to general trends? Comments like this. Fan gear have been stripped down for the better part of two decades. Once leagues(and to an extent Universities) started signing exclusive deals with one or two major suppliers, instead of the dozens that existed 30 years ago, there has been a drastic decrease in daring designs. The video I included discusses this phenomenon with the NFL as a case study. It's not much different for any of the major sports.

If you go on Fanatics and select a random Nike school and compare it to an Adidas school, the gear is very similar, the only difference would be fonts and fabric feel. It then comes down to personal preference. There's a reason why outfits like Homefield, Homage, and Starter are niche brands now, it's because that although there is a legit market for the older, more daring designs, most people are fine with the plain, utilitarian designs we see in modern licensed apparel.
