Ok that’s fair . I’ve commented on Mario’s game day acumen or lack thereof many times on these boards . The fact is Lane can coach circles around him from an X’s and O’s standpoint.

I liken Mario to a Butch archetype and Lane has some Spurrier in him . Neither is anywhere near those levels yet, but that’s the TYPE of coaching styles each represents . Give Lane talent and he’ll out coach the **** out of Mario, but the argument is Mario would accumulate more talent if he was down here 365.

I’m honestly fine with either . Both approaches can work . Each will need different types of supporting hires on staff to offset their weaknesses and I’m banking on the fact they’ll each be smart enough to recognize that if they end up here.

Its on their 247 board. One of Jurich's close friends is speaking throughout it. He had knee replacement surgery on Wednesday. He says he would prefer Jurich speak for himself with regard to Miami but he will ask him tomorrow what can be said.

There is a lot of respect and love for Tom Jurich in that thread and surprisingly for us as well lol. A few posters stated that if UM hires Jurich, it’ll be like “waking a sleeping giant”. They also think it’ll be good for the ACC as well.
