We can talk about AD and HC cuz we aint hiring ****. U man try to tamp down discussion as if you making decisions. There will be a AD before the Duke game, most likely. They may even already have their guy and are charting the way forward towards a coach. These things happen rapidly. They dont fire someone and hold their dik. Blake was reportedlt fired weeks ago. They didn't start Monday.

Danny White left UCF Jan. 21 and his replacement was hired Feb. 09, Mohajir. And this was a national search. Basically three weeks and done.

Oh, and Gus Malzahn was hired Feb 15…one week!

They are probably waiting for a really good one to get fired so we can pounce on them.

Other tidbit, Mohaijr and Maz knew each other from ark state. So, if we get our AD in place, look out for connections to viable HC candidates out there.

Do you really believe the BOT is gonna hire a new AD and say go find a coach? They have guys in mind and are gonna find an AD who can help get that guy, or will take the job with that guy. I don’t see this being a situation where the hiring of the AD is gonna slow the hiring of a new coach much at all. They will go hand in hand.

People think the new AD will just show up and spend the first 6 weeks doing the required HR videos, getting the computer set up and sharpening pencils while learning the culture.

They really do have plenty of time to find an AD. Not like anyone we really are after as far as HC will be willing to speak to us (even through an agent) until early-Dec anyway when the regular season is officially over. (Mario or Lane). If we wanted Lane, we might can gauge his interest fairly quickly. Ole Miss will be done with their season in two weeks.. Alot of things will unfold pretty quickly even though it could take another 3-4 weeks. I think we know where Mario and Lane stand by 2nd week of Dec and if they are officially off the list we can at least begin doing a real national search and have a coach in place by the Feb NSD in order to salvage some form of a recruiting class.

Good news for whoever the new HC is that we have alot of young talent and are not losing a boat load of Sr talent that will be sorely missed so to whiff on this recruiting class wont set you back too far... Only players I tip my cap to are Nesta, Jarrid Williams and Rambo. Will definitely be missed next year. Everyone else is replaceable within 2min of them handing in their playbook.
 
My intuition is telling me it’s Jurich based on just that alone which means Jack ****. I bet that’s already basically done but they want it to appear it wasn’t in the works for any blow back on how quickly and also to not look like they were working behind James back.

with all this speculation, i think the people who know are not talking and the rest of well, we're talking.
still feel discussions on Blakes successor are way past initial interviews.most AD's have a working short list at all times on potential HC's for major sports ( b-Ball& Football). think successful candidate will have a short list as well
 
Take ALL THE TIME they need to get the best one possible out there.

I'm even willing the risk not getting many recruits this year..The ones that really want to be Canes will still come. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.

To me having even more recruits selected by the new coach NEXT YEAR is NOT a bad situation

So just to be clear: a message board has a discussion of candidates that exist, Barry tweets or writes an article anyone on this board could have written based on the discussion, canesaccess then tweets about it

Come on man! Do some actual work Barry!
