No alpha is being hired given the direction shalala pushed us for a decade and a half. We’re a woke university where that type of mindset is severely frowned upon and will get you cancelled quick
For real9.7 MILLION BUYOUT FOR KIRBY HOCUTT???? I chose the wrong profession lol
Woke my ***, they simply don't care about sports. Stanford and USC are from those so called woke places. They care about winning more than we do. We probably should be woke, more like sleep walking kn a comaNo alpha is being hired given the direction shalala pushed us for a decade and a half. Dont worry my guy, her Fupa would prevent that from happeningThanks bro, moist cameltoe was an image I didn't need to think about
Thanks for the clarification. Still insane. It drives me up a wall especially when that money is primarily being made off the backs of black kids from underprivileged backgrounds. A high coach salary makes sense because there's a direct and transparent correlation with on field success but 1.8 million for an AD at a school like Texas Tech that hasn't won much of anything? Maybe if he's bringing in far more than that to justify his salary. I just don't see it.Not really a buyout, it's the "payout". The payout is what the SCHOOL owes if they fire the AD, and is usually higher at the beginning of a contract. A buyout is what the AD owes if he/she quits and takes another job.
I'd be willing to bet that most of the guys with the highest "payout" have most recently signed big extensions.

We arent terrible, just mediocre.our athletic director is literally a salesman. what he does best is sell tickets and merchandise. thats it.
does he know what a successful athletic program looks like? no. does he know what a successful coach in sports needs? no.
and that disqualifies him. he does exactly what the board wants, bringing them money. however, thats where the story ends. and even the board seemingly has had enough, considering baseball and basketball are doing awfully bad while football is once again at a crossroads.
i hope carol soffer bails us out. her name is on the indoor facility. i doubt she wants her name to be associated with a terrible football program.
Wouldn't have to pay that for AH. He'd get a nice salary for sure, but my thinking is he'd take a mid level AD salary to come to his Alma mater. Run it like a pro team. If CMD doesn't like it, well, we're sorry coach...you have Miami where we're capable talent wise of being and you have nothing to worry about...just my 2 cents.I saw this posted online and figured I’d share. We all want Blake James gone. If that scenario were to ever play out this article does a good job summarizing the market
