I saw this posted online and figured I’d share. We all want Blake James gone. If that scenario were to ever play out this article does a good job summarizing the market

our athletic director is literally a salesman. what he does best is sell tickets and merchandise. thats it.

does he know what a successful athletic program looks like? no. does he know what a successful coach in sports needs? no.

and that disqualifies him. he does exactly what the board wants, bringing them money. however, thats where the story ends. and even the board seemingly has had enough, considering baseball and basketball are doing awfully bad while football is once again at a crossroads.

i hope carol soffer bails us out. her name is on the indoor facility. i doubt she wants her name to be associated with a terrible football program.

This. A thousand times, this.

We can be mad at Blake James all we want, and he certainly deserves this. But the BOT is what created this mess and the overall decline of the athletic department. Coach L threw his resume at Blake James and uplifted the basketball program, temporarily. But now, even they're in depths that are lower than when Blake got on.

You need competent leadership in the AD position. This is a position that Blake James is not qualified to be, especially operate in.

"I want to be exceptionally clear: our university and its leadership are committed to winning national championships and restoring USC football to glory," Bohn said. "This decision represents our next step toward that goal in what has been a thoughtful and strategic process to build a comprehensive football organization equivalent to the premier programs in the modern landscape." ..... while we have Blake James, make it make sense

:snoopfacepalm:

How much did Texas Tech pay us for Hocutt? I'll go out on a limb and say zero. We don't get buyout money, we give buyout money. They should have a few University of Miami Endowed Professors at Temple.

The good news is that there are 115 ADs better than ours, all with affordable payouts. We are good.

Miami doesn't need a top 25 paid athletic director. We need one that cares about sports and makes winning a priority.
No alpha is being hired given the direction shalala pushed us for a decade and a half. We’re a woke university where that type of mindset is severely frowned upon and will get you cancelled quick
