Let's talk about Manny's favorite buzzword. For a man who preaches this almost constantly, the HC seems unable to practice it with the same conviction. During his weekly Joe Rose call this morning I noticed that while he made sure to express his disappointment in the defensive leadership, he was also adamant that he was referring to the older players and not the coaching staff, who he has "great confidence" in...despite apparently wanting to become more involved on that side of the ball.

Listen, I'm sure the players have some level of responsibility here, but if he really wants to command their respect it might help to point to himself or his staff instead of always acting like their schemes and tutelage are infallible. Be a f*cking man and say that you need to do better just like the rest of the team does and it could go a long way to restoring your credibility, because right now your words are becoming increasingly hollow and you're probably in danger of losing the team.

He clearly said the defensive coaching is not where it needs to be. I’m as down on manny as anyone but you are misrepresenting his words right here. He’s holding EVERYONE accountable and that’s displayed by him acknowledging the shortcomings of the defense and now taking over it which from his vantage point shows a lack of trust in what baker has put on tape the first 5 games. He knows that’s not what it’s supposed to look like and is taking matters in his own hands.

Did you listen to the interview? Yes, he's going to be more hands-on now but he CLEARLY made the distinction that when he said he was "disappointed in the leadership" he was referring to the players and not the coaches.

Bench Shaq then I’ll believe in Shanny holding players accountable

Is it not true? It has been.... in addition to the sh*tty dc which is why diaz will be more involved defensively... Manny put everyone on notice defensively today(dc and players) no issue with what he said today whatsoever

Sean Gleeson from Princeton would of Killed here.

If I was Manny? I would of offer Enos specifically the Qb Job and Co -OC instead don't know if all would agree to terms though.

This how the big boys in the $ec have more than one particular person on a position on staff.

People who have to repeat things over and over are not the accountable ones. They are the big mouths covering up for their problems.

If they were accountable, they wouldn't have to defend themselves or mention it every week.

Comparable to people who lie. They fabricate stories, but then talk too much to sell you on the bs with way too many details. Clown show all around.
