ACCN should allow local

YouTubeTV is by far the best option out there. It’s not the cheapest, but I think it offers the best value.
Fake news Hulu is just as good as YTTV and cheaper...plus you get espn goalline and espn extra for 6-7 additional smaller school games. All included in the hulu + live tv subscription.

This is accurate. See my above post that took a while to lay out. A basically copied over my plan from my account for everyone to see. Hope it helps.

I use PSVue. We get everything including ACC Network, ESPN goal line, NFL Redzone, MLB Strikezone, HBO, Showtime. 5 screens at a time, unlimited DVR, on Demand.$86.00

If anything I can subscribe to the Youtube channel for a monthm The whole thing is really silly and dumb the ACC network could share revenue with the local station.

Meanwhile Dorian is hugging the Carolina coast Friday night with inland effects over 100 miles. I bet they cancel the game. Mark this thread.

Dorian is out of the way but now we've got to dodge Humberto next week. The early models are a pain in the ***. Hopefully it fizzles out or gets walloped over Hispaniola.

Right now I don't understand the attraction of these streaming services. The value isn't great and the DVRs are all substandard compared to what I get with Uverse. Playstation zaps recordings after 28 days. Their guide formatting is ridiculous. It reminds of the Dolphin logo, like somebody thought it was a bright idea to reverse matters instead of sticking with what every sensible version employs. Sling won't allow recording on the Disney family, which includes ESPN. That is a total disqualifier for me. Hulu asks something like $15 extra for a Cloud DVR with 200 hours. YouTube has good DVR features and allows unlimited with 9 months storage, but again the guide is stupid with no ability to look far ahead and schedule.

I know how to haggle. I haggle back and forth multiple times between phone and chat representatives before some representative delivers a great deal. Only an idiot would listen to the first offer and hang up in disgust. I know what terms to use to trigger the retention priority. Consequently my total bill is barely $100 for high speed internet, U300 including two wireless TV remote boxes along with the Sports Package, and including my Ooma Telo monthly landline fees.

I've done all the math and I don't see how I do much better than that with the a la carte internet/streaming setup. Granted, if I were paying the $175 to $225 I often see quoted elsewhere then it would be a no-brainer to switch.

My Uverse contract expires in March. Uverse is being phased out anyway. I've read that new installs will cease in October. They dropped NFL Network and it is uncertain whether they'll add ACC Network by the end of this month. Basically I've got 6 months to evaluate matters while missing out on a few networks. That is not going to maim me. If someone comes up with a competent DVR that will be the selling point. Is it really that difficult to merely copy the Uverse version? I watch 98% of television on tape.
