Reminds me of criticisms toward La Liga in soccer and the weird obsession with mediocre teams in the Barclays Premier League. Not sure if anyone follows that by it is similar to SEC bias due to a perceived lack of parity in La Liga and the ACC. This is despite both the SEC and Barclays premier league being dominated by 3 or 4 teams anyways.

Espn had a laughable article about how Clemson was basically an SEC team today, and I remember they did something similar with FSU a few years ago.
 
It's simple! ESPN is in the SEC business! The SEC PR machine is in full go deflecting the doubt that they're the best conference. ESPN put all their marbles in the SEC basket and now that the SEC business model is being duplicated by other teams and conferences ESPN is fighting their *** off to change public perception for recruiting purposes.

Not anymore. Virginia got the dude from byu, VT got Fuente, we got richt, there is jimbo and dabo. Id say acc may now have some of the best up and coming coaches in any conference

Not trying to argue just curious as to why you think that? He had a tough 2010 season, his first full season with the team and went 6-7 and even including that, he's 74-26 at Clemson 74% win pct and has had them at the top of the Acc ever since. Unless you're talking individual games like the west Virginia bowl game a few years back. But that stuff happens. See Oklahoma Clemson game last year

suspect as in getting his a** beat by teams he has not business losing too. they've been paper tigers through most of his tenure there

And who was that? Every team loses games. Jimbo lost to GT. Michigan St lost to Nebraska this year. It goes on and on. It's not like they get voted top 5 every year and lose to unranked teams. Can you even name the last time they lost to an unranked team? They hold the longest streak against unranked teams in the ncaa. They also have a great bowl record over the last 4 years beating teams like Lsu, ou twice and Ohio State.

MSU learned what we already knew. You can't beat Bama playing Bama football.

That being said, I like Clemson in the NCG.
Obviously, Bama has been susceptible to the up-tempo spread and, more importantly, a lot of money will be bet on the Tide a week from Monday.

just last season they got completely dominated by georgia and gt. not just lost, dominated. lost to boston college and a very underwhelming south carolina team the year before that. also got demolished by fsu that same year. we even put up a better fight. got completely blown out by nc state, georgia tech, south carolina and annihilated by wvu in 2011. should i go on? they've been great this season but they eared that term "clemsoning" for a reason.

and beating a team that was ranked at the time and finished the season unranked isn't an accomplishment. but you can keep patted yourself on the back for that one

One has nothing to do with the other. Unless by "legit" you mean the best team in college football. I happen to think Bama will beat them handily and I think MS would have beat them as well. I don't think Clemson will stand up to Bamas defense.

It's obvious Clemson is **** good, but won't be good enough.
