They’re going to make us travel across the country to Stanford week 1 aren’t they?

Better week 1 than the middle of the season after playing at Va. Tech on a Friday night, then play Notre Dame after traveling back from Pao Alto

If anything, we just went on a playoff run where we played Wednesday. Thursday. And Monday. Staff should be able to handle these scheduling now

The literal only thing Malignant Mike has done is play well in Week 1. Not that I really care, but I'd rather play them later in the year.

Except losing to GT in Dublin.

We also play well week 1.

I don't mind Friday night beginning of the season, it'll be good for eyeballs which brings in cash, outside of that though I hate the Thursday night games, it's bush league IMO.

Miami will be must-see TV if/when we get Mensha.

More concerned with how they handle our bye weeks and the Notre Dame game.

Would be a giant middle finger to ND to give us a bye right before we play them. Phillips should grow a pair and demand that. You come after us, we come after you.

Thought the chatter was FSU week 1 for us. Would be the highest rated game of the week. Most likely a dedicated Monday night spot, plus it takes place before everyone realizes FSU sucks AGAIN.

Pretty sure Stanford opens in week 0 with Hawaii at home (they went to Hawaii week 0 last year). No excuse not to win but traveling across the country for your first game, playing in the middle of the night local time and having the opponent already have a tune up game under their belt isn't ideal.

Thursday or Friday at Stanford makes sense. Would the ACC actually make FSU play Week 0, Miami, Alabama? Or would they make UNC play us after going to Ireland?

Any chance the FAMU game could still have a last minute surprise and move to Week 1? Would give the ACC a lot more scheduling flexibility.
