ACC Refs

INT call was close but legit
Knock the **** ball down
Hold on previous play was a little ticky tack

I’d much rather refs stay out of game late but it was a hold and Lightfoot was mugged on other side that same play and Wilson was grabbed by neck prior play. That said I’d liked to see a 2 point try to tie.

I did see replays at the different angles and the call wasn’t so bad on the hold.

He never broke stride and his head never went sideways. That’s a tell tell sign it’s not a face mask. What angle would you need to see something that never happened?

His head did get jerked sideways as Smiths arm slid across which is why it was called.

I didn’t agree with the call, but didn’t think it was egregious as a call in real time

Everyone talking about that holding that was called, but go watch 2 plays before that on 2nd down, and the same left tackle much more blatantly grabs the DE (i forget which one was on that side) throws him to the ground and falls on him. No call. So MAYBE the refs realized they missed that and were watching 77 a little more closely. Not an intentional makeup call, but just knowing that 77 was going too far and giving him a shorter leash.

They threw the flag right away, too, just as the ball was released, so it wasn't like they threw it after seeing the TD.

I will try to find the pic of Fitz on the ground and the ball in his hands still. If anyones hands came off it was Duce.

The ball is clearly out of Fitz hands here. From this angle it’s hard to see if Duce has hands on the ball or if it’s just caught between Fitz thighs.

Putting/Placing your hands on a football does not mean you have possession of the ball.
Bryce clearly brought the ball into his body/stomach with Dueces hands only on the ball. Bryce had possession of the ball with 2 FSPUKE hands on it.
Yep. They both had hands on it at the high point, but Deuce lost his hand on it before his foot touched the ground. So when Bryce's foot hits the ground, he was the only one whose hands were on the ball. That's the end of the possession question. After that it is just "completing the process of the catch" to determine if it was an INT or INC (same result either way), but that is irrelevant to any claim for FSU's possession.

You can't put your hands on the ball when the defender already has possession and then claim tie goes to the receiver.

thats one arm you don't need two hands on the ball for control. It's against his body and as long as his other hand is still on it (which no angle shows it wasn't) that counts as control

On duces 75 yard rf he clearly pushed off with the full extend should have been blown offensive pass interference. They were also hold our dline like crazy in the overtime as well
Yea, a little, but that rarely gets called. Xavier really needed to get some hands on him and got nothing.

ACC refs used to hate us, but then two things happened.
1) Miami got better
2) FSU and Clemson sued the ACC

Look, I aint apologizing if the tie goes to Miami.

Bad calls happen all the time. I just love hearing other fans complain about OUR refs now. 😂😂😂
