Props to Julio Frenk I know he’s not the SEC type football nut that Miami fans want as the presidents but I respect the fact that he stands on his own medical knowledge and logic and not being swayed by political agendas and media narratives.

I know for a fact Shalala would’ve been parroting the Democratic narrative to the T if she was still the president.. probably wouldn’t have football for the next 2 years without mandatory vaccination protocols.
If she was still President, and continuing to stick her nose in football matters, of which she knows nothing about, nobody would care if the season was postpone. Still remember how empty and desolate that stadium was when Clemson was putting it on us 58-0.

Seriously man, give it a rest. Your negative **** is boring and obnoxious.
Agree, dude stay home in your fetal position, the rest of us want to go on with our lives. The coaches and assistant coaches in High School that I know are getting bombarded by their players to get back to practice and play. A lot of these kids are depending on their senior years to attract attention and hopefully obtain some scholarship $ . This crap was only to be 2 weeks, to opened up hospital beds, now we are talking about this and that, and in the meantime the hospitals are asking for bail outs, caused the emptied their beds for months, and barely any covid folks showed up, and they lost millions. Brilliant:

The ACC, SEC and Big 12 look foolish to most of the world, right now. First in the Southern States it was, “we refuse to wear masks and refuse to social distance”, which led to a massive outbreak in those states. Now in the Southern States it’s, “we’re playing some college football no matter what, because the kids are safer traveling and playing football against kids from other schools”. Never mind the fact that some schools have loose restrictions, evidenced by the nonsense happening Virginia Tech!.

Money grab all day long.

The blowback is going to be tremendous, if there is an outbreak on any of those teams, and rightfully so.
The only person looking foolish is yourself for being a blind hack...

“The ACC...from everything we’re told, is full speed ahead right now. And all that means to us is we get to keep practicing.”
The key phrase in that quote. Pete Thamel is the most plugged-in CFB reporter and he's convinced there won't be a season. ACC/SEC and now Big 12 are all trying to buy time and delay the inevitable. They made plans to try to push through despite the virus and they want to carry them out as long as they can. SEC delayed their season start so they can be the last to drop out and make it seem like they tried their hardest to carry out the season. ACC and Big 12 are likely in the same boat and hoping for a deus ex machina.

I think the most likely scenario is that these conferences fold when the 1st outbreak hits one of their schools. But they might as well try and pray it never happens. Regardless there's a steep difference in confidence level based on the language used by those involved in NFL vs. CFB. NFL is adamant, bordering on arrogant that they will play a full normal season and shrug off any challenges, whereas with CFB every quote is couched in the short-term. It's not a promising situation.

Good for you. He sure as **** doesn’t have mine. I’m just happy to hear that some moderates I personally know who voted for Trump in 2016 that have since said that they regretted that decision..

I didn’t vote last election and regretted it... should’ve voted for Trump then too but I definitely will this year. The Democratic Party has no room for “moderate” people. It’s the party for the extreme and perverse. I may not ever consider myself a Republican but I’ll never vote Democrat again.

I feel the same about the Republican Party. Never again.

Each conference should bubble up.

ACC in Charlotte
Big XII in Dallas
SEC in Atlanta

Online classes, study hall, separate hotels, separate practice facilities. You can't expect college kids living in college communities not to interact with their peers and stay disease-free.
