ACC Players of the Week

90 percent of this board clowned this take. He was “ slow “ and a “ jag”. That little joker is a bal player and isn’t afraid to put his head down to pop somebody
He is slow, that was shown when he got Moss'd by Evan Stewart in the 4th quarter.

But he played a really great game & was making a lot of plays & contributed greatly to the Defense, so props for that.

His big test will come against UNC, they have some real speed in the WR Corps & they like to throw the ball Deep often.

Was that a speed issue or a 5’8 issue ? No shame in that when you’re that small. Yet he was arguably the best player on the field Saturday and had the key hit causing a fumble. That game alone is worth the take and a scholly.

Gotta disagree with this one boss.

On the play he got beat deep by Stewart, he was inphase and running stride for stride with Stewart. He mistimed his jump. He went for the interception and missed. Speed wasn't the problem.

How come nobody told me how good 22 was gonna be?

Kid was flat out balling this weekend. How was 7 ever starting over this dawg?
22 is best suited to play slot or even as a 3rd safety. His tackling skills are more valuable than his coverage skills right now. He isn’t bad in outside coverage but he was beat on the long pass.
Not saying you are wrong but I don’t think we can make a living with him at outside CB.

I saw him get beat once and on another the dude outsized him but he was right there and chances are that play goes either way half the time.

If he was stride for stride with him he would've picked it off or at least gotten the PBU.

He was beat on the route.

Both.

The Canes dominated the awards for the first time I can ever remember. Kam5 and JW20 had great days. I thought one of them would get DB of the week, but they will have more opportunities. Jaden got the award, so I am not angry.

I just wish Brashard Smith could have gotten some love for his 98 yard kickoff return
