I have bad news for everybody who understandably is mad about the Notre Dame game and how it’s not working for us on the obvious head-to-head level
If we drop that game as a victory because we’re ****ed about head-to-head, it also would drop our strength of schedule strength of record FPI game control stats and we would fall down further
As another aside, if we were still in the BCS era heading into this weekend before the results of this past Saturday, Miami would actually be 15th, not 12th, and Notre Dame would still be where they were.
I understand if they went to a straight computer model it might not necessarily look exactly like the BCS, but it probably would be pretty **** close
Be careful what you wish for
I am not defending any of this ****. I’m just trying to give some information due with it as you will.
Again, these rankings are before the results of Miami Virginia Tech weekend. I have not seen the new version yet.
