ACC going to 9 conference games

The 8 game scheduled team in that rotation will probably have a mandatory game with ND as 1 of its 2 P4 teams.

Anyone at Miami involved in a yes vote should be immediately fired. I’d assign future royalties for the next 100 years to pay for an exit from this **** conference. Other than FSU every other year, our home schedule is going to be such a joke.

We have some big OOC games coming up, I wonder if those get impacted.

Gamecocks home-and-home = DOA fo sho. They ain't gonna want it.

Vegas tourism folks no doubt writing a big check for the Utah game, so can definitely seeing us doing a one-off "neutral" siter for a check well into the 7 figures

Nothing that anyone is "excited" about, but seems to be the logical decision for 2 reasons:

1. With all other P4 schools at 9 conference games, it is more difficult to get to 2 P4 games using the 8 conference game - 2 P4 model that was also up for discussion.

2. At 8 conference games with 17 teams, each team played only half the conference each year. At least now it is greater than 50% and less likely to have controversy in figuring out who the top 2 teams are to play in the championship game each season. Hopefully there will be less, "well team A, team B, and team C didn't play each other at all during the season, so let's compare the final scores of their common games against WF, UNC, and UVA", and more actual games that decide it on the field.

Not to start another thread on this but it wouldnt be bad if this were the BIG. Ohio State, Michigan, The Pedophile School, USCw would be some potentially decent matchups. Wake, Duke, Stanford, Pitt? Man, smh.

Probably the only time you’ll see me take up for Dan Rad, but he was pretty vocal on the ACC Network last week about how the 8+2 was the better way to go and said that’s how he was voting.

Something i started thinking might have to happen to make even the conferences fair, is a 4 team playoff to the title. I know its alot of games for the players but the discrepancy between the schedules are insane where a team can avoid all the top 3 or 4 teams and make the title, while a better team might have to play all of them.

The Domers don't want that smoke baby.
They might not have a choice. USC is dropping their annual series with them. SEC teams won't see the need to schedule out of conference games now that they're going to a 9 game format. You see what Indiana did with their future out of conference contracts. It's going to get tougher for Notre Dame to schedule quality opponents.

Everybody mentions OSU, Michigan, PSU, and USCw. You could also get Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, and Northwestern instead. LOL

The Canes need to get to the B1G or SEC for the $$ and playoff access.

All this noise when the p2 will be expanding soon. We are either in the expansion or we dominate the even ****tier acc
