ACC football podcast takes on JT4 and Tate

Jeff Thomas' numbers have improved each year, see below. Think about what we can do without Malik at QB. I think he should be in the 40+ reception range, 700 yards, 5+ TDs. If he can do that, show his special teams ability, and run a 4.35... he will be a top 2-3 round pick. Most of his off the field stuff is immaturity, don't think he's had any actual criminal charges.

Agree, I think the issue behind him leaving the team last season may be a factor come draft day.

Back from my self ban better than ever lol. I was listening to this podcast omw in to work and Landry Football(guy plugged in to CFB) had some interesting takes on Tate and JT4.

He stated JT4 is in line to have a huge season but he is not a good draft prospect and will probably be late round. Didn't understand it but maybe it's because of his off field issues.

He also stated he thinks Tate will win the job by default because Kosi/Jarren may not create enough separation. Also stated coaches didn't think Tate was focused and weren't too fond of Tate's activities outside of football such as him partying etc which I think some other posters may have mentioned before(I can't recall who said it).

Overall, it's a pretty good podcast and he gives good insight into the ACC conference as a whole. There doing a study on UM which will air next week.

Starts around the 15:10 mark

Good stuff here brother...I think he's spot on and based on our OL we must have a mobile QB who can create with his feet.

True but from what I've heard most of issues were because our QB and playbook was AWFUL. Dude just got frustrated and wanted to win or at least be apart of a fun offense.
Which is fair imo but we all saw what happen to Gerald Willis when previous coaches bashed him. I would not be surprised if Mark Richt, Dugans or anybody from the previous offensive staff spoke negatively about Jeff when asked for feedback.

There will also be times he gets equally as frustrated in the league. That's the whole point. But regardless, he has a second chance this year to change that narrative.

I know you're around the program and give some very tough takes. In general, what have you seen/heard on how the offense is looking?

Unfortunately for Jeff Thomas, has no chance to be an early round pick.

Thanks for posting OP but those guys don't know ****. If its one thing I have noticed about Diaz and the way he runs his ship is that there are zero leaks. And if there are he isn't leaking it to some random ACC football podcaster. Its good click bait though and anytime we are being talked about I am fine with it. Its about that time anyway. The game is in 17 days so the hype will start really soon for the UF game.

I’ve been heavy into college football podcast for a few months now and I’m glad you reminded me about his podcast. I heard him on either XM radio or another podcast and the guy knew his stuff, I’m going to have a listen today.

He has like 5 CFB podcast himself within the Big3Rollup network lol. Like you said tho, dude knows his stuff.

It sounds like he reads CIS then pushed the info on his podcast. Nothing new here.

It’s not my business to say what someone should post or not on their social media, I dont Really care if it isn’t stupid or harmful honestly.
It's a distraction for the players. Social media won't help any player play better. It won't help them win a starting job. All it can do is play into the psyche of the player needing social media as some type of validation from the fans. That doesn't win games.

Sure, all of those statements are true. But it's also 2019 where these kids lives have been intertwined with social media since birth. If the players get together and make that an informal policy mandated by the team itself, then great. But we would be idiots to impose a social media ban from the top down. It would unquestionably impact recruiting.

Notice how that dude is the only one to ever question Tate off the field, while people more close to Tate give high praise to his work ethic. That’s not the first time that dude has said that either. I heard him say it on one of their first episodes. If he had been paying any attention to what’s really going on and not just reading the headlines then he would know the work that was put in this summer.

The Big 3 Umbrella of podcasts are literal AIDS for your ears.

You would have to never login to Twitter, CIS, State of the U & etc. to actually here anything new or worthwhile from these dunces.

He contradicted himself within the same sentence. This makes me think he doesn’t have a clue and is throwing stuff out there. Then no matter what the outcome is he can claim he said it.
