from what I heard today from Dennis Dodd who is pretty connected, he said all Power 5 are discussing the plus 1 option. Leaves room for rivalry games outside of conferences and one big marquee matchup if your rival is already in conference.

Also I believe the reasoning behind the conference only was to try to limit on travel. Hard to say FSU and UF can't play considering they are in the same state and I am sure there are similar circumstances where it makes sense.

It’s unbelievable. This would be a perfect opportunity to strong-arm them into joining the conference.

Think about if there is indeed a season and they allow ND into the conference temporarily; such an insult to all the members.

Imagine living in a neighborhood where all the residents have to pay and abide by the association except one house?

It would give me so much joy if ND couldn’t have a season but the rest of college football does.

Even our best teams. Still recall that bizarre Matt Walters to Ed Reed td to beat them up there. And year they ended Stephen McGuire's career we barely pulled out a win.

I understand but for decades MD was what we were in the glory days and could have remained but for our administration and BOT. They don't have their own TV contract because nobodies watched it.

I hate ND but no two teams bring more excitement than Convicts vs Catholics. ND has been global for long time and we became the long other glbal team. 2017 gave newer fans a taste of what that game was and what life in the OB was like for us lucky old farts. I am a deep roots Catholic and nothing was better than those two games. I had to take lots of **** after that first one but the 3000 copies of photo of 3 and 43 that I sent around the frigging world to friends, Priests, several Bishops, and two Cardinals made it so worth it

I was at both games and a Nun abused me pretty bad in South Bend. I am Catholic school educated and love the Nuns, so I flew her down for the rematch in OB. I had several 50 yard line seats back then that I use for business purposes. I preferred my older West seats but gave them up to sit next to her behind the Cane bench. The catch was right in front of us. It was glorious. I just smiled at her and as any Catholic might expect, she hit me. It was fantastic. I'd take ND for a game every year.
