Have you seen the epitome of mediocrity that is the Coastal Division? Duke, GT, UVA, Pitt and Miami can all end up with a 7-5 record and there is also a chance if we beat Pitt and Duke beats Wake, then Duke would finish with an 8-4 record while Pitt would be 7-5 and still win the division. You decide whether the division has become tougher or more inadequate at important positions, but this is the wrong year for Richt to go 7-5 on the year. I don’t want to go on a rant here, and I’m not going to show you anything that you haven’t seen or heard on the field or on the boards, but if ever Richt was going to have an easier path to the playoffs it was going to be this year and it speaks volume to his inadequacy as a head coach. The only results I’m looking for now is a recruiting class with substance, a offensive coordinator and new offensive line coach and I will be able to swallow the jagged pill that is this season. The fact that there has been six different representatives for the coastal division the last six years makes me optimistic that we are still ways to go before we separate ourselves like Clemson in their division.
