ACC champ guaranteed playoff bid?

Somebody told me ACC champ is in as long as they are ranked high enough in final poll.
If Duke wins next week they will not be ranked high enough among. top 5 conference champs

Anybody know?

Correct. If Duke beats UVA, then Duke is not guaranteed a CFP spot. Instead, James Madison and Tulane could both win their conference championship games and earn spots over the ACC champ (assuming the Fighting Manny Diaths win the game).
