Now the biggest thing the ACC could do to UM and other underperforming schools is if they start missing bowls. If the teams start missing like Miami will start to do and the other schools get outraged they are getting taken for money the ACC might be able to act then. I could see FSU, Clemson, and other teams that are contastly in the top 25 bringing in the money going to the ACC and saying it isnt fair and put pressure on teams to either perform or GTFO. But as it stands now nothing chnages except Miami football will be worse for ware after the F/A/G regime gets done with this school.
Thus the emphasis on a basketball stadium and team. Miami wants to contribute to the ACC as a basketball school. Just like how Duke and UNC havent contributed to football (save once in a blue moon), but they improve the basketball product. As long as fans keep spending money and going to basketball games, the ACC won't have any issue with us.
