ACC 2027 verbal commit team ranking so far

Donno and Brian Smith had a podcast on this yesterday and apparently Ga Tech boosters dumped a bunch cash into NIL budget and they’re rising up the ranks. SMU dead last in ACC and 73 overall on composite.

Top 5 in ACC right now are Miami (2), Clemson (13), Va Tech (17), Cal (18) and Ga Tech (21).

Feels like SMU’s class will be dependent upon them getting Ismael Camara

Lane and Rhett seem to just want portal kids

UGA imo, we’ll see
What’s up with Georgia’s recruiting so far? I’m surprised they aren’t doing as well. I’m sure if Georgia wants him they will land him. But the chatter at least last week seemed like the Noles. Although I was wrong about Henderson so what do I know lol

I think if you asked this a month or two ago, UGA wouldn’t have a spot open for Poole.

They’re projected to miss on Seth Williams and Jayden Aparicio-Bailey to Clemson; two safeties they had higher than Poole on their board. They also thought they were in the leading position for Chance Gilbert who committed to Auburn.

Despite this, I don’t believe they’ll be too hurt by the misses because they got Ja’Marley Riddle as a transfer S with 2 or 3 years of eligibility left, and they flipped Blake Stewart from Clemson to go with Tyriq Green + two other safeties in a 4 safety class for them last cycle. It’s possible that’s hurting them now as well.

FSU being in shambles is one of the main reasons why UGA can reenter the picture here. Maybe he goes there irrespective of the current situation but IMO he seems like he wants to go to a higher standard program. TBD.

I think overconfidence on certain players led to complacency in building relationships and whatever funds they have, they prioritize roster retention raises and selective portal pulls over an enlarged HS payroll.

Coley, Trob and Hartley can all handle their own on the recruiting trail however we know Stacy Searles ain’t about 💩. … they moved him to analyst from oline coach. Some of their newer guys prob not holding their own as well

I think it’s more than one factor…UGA dominated pre-NIL throwing scores of money then won back to back championships as soon as NIL became actualized which gave them an advantage that carried over. The Death Star ain’t infallible anymore so their out of state recruiting isn’t working like it used to.

Auburn, UF, and LSU having new coaches doesn’t help along with newfound success at Ole Miss, Texas Tech and A&M.

won’t finish top 5 but will likely finish in the teens w/ a faint chance of breaking into the top ten. It’d take multiple years outside the top ten to really change their roster composition.

Good stuff bro. Wonder why Georgia is missing so much. And Clemson is trying their best to get back to elite status it seems

I am all for the ACC improving recruiting and coaching caliber. I believe the ACC NIL has improved and we should be an improving conference this year and going forward. It only helps us with SOS so we can get more playoff spots and hopefully bigger tv deals. We win with a stronger ACC plains and simple. A conference with 3-4 10 win teams is what makes the SEC what it is. One great team and a bunch of good teams in my opinion would be positive.

Halfway decent? That class is terrible.
Considering they went 7-17 the last two years, and everyone expects their head coach to be fired mid-season, getting four 4 star players would be an overachievement. That’d put them at fifth in the ACC for 4*s and above.

& i wrote on paper anyways.

Getting mid three stars who are ranked the same as underrated, highly coveted recruits doesn’t change the perceived mathematics of the rankings. & there is a dearth of four stars willing to go to FSU and an abundance of three stars working to sign with a P4 school, whether that be FSU or elsewhere.

My guy, that class is still bad. Decent is a big stretch.
