Just watched this 4 min highlight clip of Murray at UGA under Richt..

Couple things I saw:
1. Not 1 pre snap motion play
2. Almost all throws were high level throws. Good god if Murray didn't have such a strong arm and accuracy half these balls would have been picked. Not even kidding
3. Oline is a wall

If Richt wants to keep running the same O with a caliber of QB like Malik or young QB there will be many issues due to the degree of difficulty on most passes. Almost all in coverage if not double coverage.

One thing I noticed is the time the QB had maybe if we can get a ******* push on the O line the plays might look a lil better

Malik does everything right but has limitations talent-wise. N'Kosi has some talent but makes poor decisions and has poor leadership skills. Jarren is talented but he's gonna make freshman mistakes as well...oh, and the oline isn't very good.

Just not a whole lot to work with. All you can do is coach em up and try not to make mistakes on offense. Teams have no respect for Malik and sit on the running-game, but N'Kosi sets such a poor example that starting him threatens the integrity of the program.

This isn't our year.

LMAO

It has been said that Malik wouldnt start a most D1 schools ,,, we have played against multiple back up QB's the last few years - THEY were better than Malik --- Kid seems to really try but the talent isnt there

That’s essentially his offense you need a high powered qb to run it, you have receivers open a lot but what had people upset is that in cfb you don’t need an elite qb or all 11 men doing their job, you can literally scheme to your teams strengths instead of trying to fit a square in a circle hole

The quarterback has to be above average for richt to shine and o line has to be very good. We don’t have either so richt should have made changes to suit what he has. Simple we should have not lost the last two

I've said this from the beginning. Richt ain't a genius OC. He's also not an idiot OC. But what he wants to run on offense REQUIRES an NFL talent at QB ... Both, mentally and physically.

Until he has that, the O will continue to look disjointed, IMO.

The most honest, realistic, level-headed response I think I've ever seen on here. Thank you sir

cmr wasn't calling plays for aaron murray

CMR needs NFL talent Oline, qb and rb to be successful
basically he wants to run what bama was running before saban decided bring his offense to the 21st century

Agree.

But Mike Bobo didn't bring a new scheme to UGA. He called the plays, but it was Richt's offense.

what I don't get is that at UGA he used to line up in I formation and run counters and sweeps and play action roll outs those were big parts of his offense, I wonder why the only thing we run out of an I formation is a fullback dive

Sad as it sounds, this is how/why Richt believes he's advanced as a play-caller.

sad but true,
honestly even if we lined up in I with gray and dallas and ran sweeps and counters and off tackle and play action off of that it would be a huge plus to our offense

Malik isn't talented enough to fake and turn to throw and our Oline cant hold blocks long enough for PA to work. Say what you want about the O which I think needs a lot of work but Malik hampers almost anything you can do. The O is as simple as it can be and he still cant complete a pass.

Malik does everything right

LMAO

Rosier has had it drilled into him by Rick not to take chances with passes. He will ONLY throw to wide open receivers but you almost never see a play where he tries to squeeze the ball into a small window. No risky throws. He can't go through a progression and find a third WR. Basically, Rick tells Rosier where the ball goes, if it's not open, Rosier runs. Rick absolutely loves that Rosier is not usually going to make a dumb throw and get the ball picked.
