Sure, except that’s exactly what FSU does, and they even have a better back than we do, and their OL still cripples the entire offense.

I’ve been super critical of Enos, so I’m not disagreeing that he can’t do more than he is. I agree with you. But if you have 5 turnstiles up front, it seriously cripples what you can do on offense. It’s not a simple, easy fix.
 
With a more flexible offensive coaching staff, we absolutely beat VT and GT.
UNC felt like it just wasn't our night and they were amped, which happens sometimes.
UiF I thought we had until the last few minutes, and honestly looked like our coaches and players were blindsided by the lopsided line play, so who knows.
 
My biggest disappointment so far is Enos. I expected a helluva lot more from him. He's obviously helped the QB's to some extent, but he's not done much to use the talent he has. He stated early on he would adjust his offense to accommodate the players. That hasn't happened.
And there's no way in **** they didn't know there problems with the OL when reports came out of camp that our DL was eating.

I think the OP implies that a better staff would have either coached that OL up to only being putrid, or not played those O linemen, or schemed around it, or had a freaking FG kicker who can punch it in from 20 yards. Meaning we would stumble, bumble and trip all over ourselves and STILL win 10 games against HIDEOUSLY bad teams.

On ESPN the other day Joey Galloway was making a snarky reference to some D 3 team and he said " yeah but they'd win the ACC Coastal ".

Do you think Miami is the only team with a bad oline?

You realize a spread up tempo offense helps hide a bad oline dont you?

We have 3. Gaynor and Scaife are fine to good.

The poor OL and kicking game would hinder any coach. Easy fixes don’t exist.

Virginia Tech is terrible. And what does FSU do on offense? What does Syracuse do on offense? Spread, up tempo. They’re absolutely awful. Because they can’t block a soul.

So what’s FSU and Syracuse’s excuse? They run the offense you’re talking about. They have very good coaches. Half this board wanted Dino Babers when Richt retired. They’ve given up 35 sacks in 7 games. Does he suck all of a sudden? Kendal Briles and Randy Clements have had prolific offenses at literally every stop they’ve made. They go spread, up tempo. FSU is steaming hot smelly garbage on offense. Those guys suck now too?

As I said, I’m terribly disappointed in Enos and think he deserves a ton of blame. But there’s a lot of good coaches who are fielding terrible offenses because their offensive lines are absolute sieves. Could running an uptempo, spread offense help? Maybe....not sure it could be worse than we’re getting now. But you’re very naive if you think you’re going to scheme yourself to 40 a night with a left tackle who can’t get out of his stance before your quarterback’s shoulder is destroyed.
