Lashlee isn’t perfect by any means but the lack of execution on the first few drives was a problem. Brevin alone stalled things 2-3 times on those early drives.

At this point can we all just agree that if his name wasn’t Mike Rumph he would have zero support. Zero.

Those that support him on here either played with him, hate Banda (or Manny) with some weird infatuation or are still living in Butch Davis’ *** in 2000.

I'm not saying he's the guy or he's a sure thing if he is but IMO its an upgrade to Blake Baker.

Could even be argued that Blake Baker's results are stunted because everyone on our defensive staff is from the Manny Diaz tree. They all watch the same film and immediately come up with the same thoughts on how to defend it because it's all they know. Bringing in a guy like Brown to work with Baker might alter the trajectory of Baker's career at Miami. Just a thought

Sorry brother, I know you like Fran Brown. I like him as a DB coach only with only 1 year of Co-DC experience. We need to mix up fronts, blitzes and coverages. Our D telegraphs everything. Every O can watch 1 game tape and know exactly how to attack us. Manny needs 1 real DC here not running his scheme so he can actually concentrate on being a HC.

No I agree with you. I know manny likes him and wouldn’t be surprised if he goes that direction. Hope we land a legit vet
 
hope its true, its prolly is. My thing is some of the board knew for years (Rumph) that these changes had to be made. Dude waited way to long but if he does it good, but **** listen to us mopes man dont come on here reading the sunshine guys. Diaz make sure u listen to Chise and us mopes man we know wtf UM football once was lol.

You have a fan base here full of thousands of morons that hung on papacanes every word, for years and years. Only a few of us were sounding the alarm about him being a total fraud. Which he eventually was proven to be.

All I am saying is that if that is the scenario that plays out then this program will never take the next step under Diaz. Just going to be a regular 9-3 team and Blake James and the BOT seem to be perfectly happy with that. Always doing things the cheap way despite having the $ to make real program changing hires. Lashlee was a nice hire but he did come cheap. He is getting a pay raise. Why not pay a real DC the same way?

Lashlee did not come cheap. Nor did Enos. Both were paid in the top 15 assistants in America. We outbid Baylor and Arkansas for Lashlee.

Between what Baker, Banda, and Patke make we can certainly afford a top notch DC if we make room. (Patke and Banda make co-coordinator money from when they were promoted)

Miami will pay for assistant coaches. The narrative that they won’t is ridiculous.. especially after going 8-2 and maybe 9-2.

Fran wants to be a head coach. He interviewed for Rutgers before Schiano was hired. Not sure he'd jump for anything lower than DC and Schiano could probably get him a raise to keep him

Doesn’t the fact that Manny screwed up both his coordinator pics tell you he’s got no idea what’s what? How many years until he gets it right, learning on the job to do the job? If you don’t pick the right guys going in the first time, you were the wrong hire.

Like Idgaf if Cam stays or goes, cause imo he's easy to replace in the Portal.

We have one, no need to stress. A lot of kids still aren’t in the portal. Plenty of players / positions left to enter.
