A Message from President Julio Frenk

Was this before or after you heard Donna wanted Golden fired and he was a goner?

Tell me, do are you related to a guy named c7vette?

That is what I heard and what I thought was going to happen. I was wrong. When Donna's mother died on December 2nd, she packed it in for the rest of her presidency and even missed the Edna Shalala 5K. My apologies for being wrong.

I do not know c7vette.

If it will help partially restore my credibility, here is myself, Dr. Mora, my roommate, and Stuart Miller just paling around.

I HOPE you're wearing the BBB shirt.

Is there a chance Stuart Miller will help push things through to grant your shirt's wishes?

And can you get another shirt like that and gift it to the President?

That is me with the #BBB shirt.

He actually commented on it. He looked at it and said, "Bring Back THE (which made me cringe) Butch." and Dr. Mora looked at him because he was in the dark and Stuart Miller. "Former football coach for the school. My dad helped hire him. He want the job back."

I wanted to make that the topic of discussion but I didn't want to embarrass Stuart Miller or detract from the moment. This was fresh after his hiring and it just didn't seem appropriate.

Al Golden's performance isn't appropriate

Very true, but blindsiding the two of them with mountains of football talk just didn't seem polite or effective. I didn't want to ruin a great moment for the school.

The best means to stomach his prospective hands-off towards Athletics is to advise him to hire an AD that wants to win at all costs or at any cost.

Advise/Demand that he Hires Jim Hackett! That dude was a star Center with U-MI and wanted that Michigan return to its greatest moments of prominence. So what did he do?

Jim Hackett SOUGHT OUT & CORNERED JIM HARBAUGH to return U-MI back to Championships.
How U-M's Jim Hackett sought and closed Jim Harbaugh

We advise Dr. Frenk (Mora) to hire this guy who won't leave any stone unturned to get the real UM back to its Championship-contending legacy, and we set forever. He may well hire Butch not too cheap, but give him a blank checkbook to bring in the very top and proven coordinators out there; whether that's Trestman or another fired HC-turned-best Coordinator status, then let it be done. Bring Back Butch, and the best and brightest Coordinators with a plan of succession in 5 years! a la Franklin for U-MD, and let's get this Town Hall meeting started. We BBB by bringing an AD that's has a record of being not afraid to spend money for future Championship-contention... Jim Hackett would quickly recognize that a winning UM brand would sell more merchandise than any other college in the land, and since we're recruiting local studs, we'd sell out Sun LIfe more than the Phins down the line... Jim Hackett may even be able to deal with his U-MI colleague & Dolphins owner Ross.

Hire Jim Hackett, as he would take this job; his currency is only interim.

IIRC President Frenk isnt gonna be involved with the athletic program (specifically the football program). So the firing of Golden will have to come down to B.O.T & Blake

Before you get into firing Al Golden, an actual AD who can make actual decisions must be secured & hired.

Otherwise, it'd be same shlt, different day in UM mishiring practices.

I called the president of the University and told him that I don't think we can experiment anymore. That's the thing that led me to thinking about the next candidate. If there's someone at an upstart program that has great promise and is very young, probably wouldn't cost as much. I didn't think the University could take that risk

So this AD got a commitment to excel from the top brass and hired...

Who hired Fraulden?!?

Success has many parents.
Failure is an orphan.
