That's kind of where I stand.

The joy was hearing Enos say that whoever wins, the play calling will be designed around him.

If Perry and Jarren can't get it done between the ears to get the nod, he is our best option. Defenses will have to spy him routinely and while his ball is not the prettiest or even strongest, its when he moves and gets defenses out of position that he is the most dangerous.

I have been watching us struggle on the OL for years and years when we weren't supposed to.....while I would love to have a situation like Clemson last year with a pure drop back pocket QB that has time to scan and unload...that is not what we have had around here...partly because we can't run the ball consistently.

I, of course, would rather have that set up on offense at UM...always...but if running something different that Enos can set up and play call for works better.....I'm all about it.

and if healthy clemson is on the other side, yeah i don't see it. just being realistic (idc bout the past). for an ACCCG, were gonna get their best shot and i think their best shot is better than ours by a good margin.
 
I think for the first time in their college career Perry & Williams are receiving top notch college coaching.
think all 3 will show improvement.... I like Williams best of 3 , feel we can win with Martell and Perry still worries me with grasp of scheme , playbook and maturity issues....... Hoe did Blake every sign off on Jon Jr as QB coach is beyond me.....
 
We out here talking about beating Clemson, but haven’t consistently beaten UVA and Georgia Tech. I don’t need a heisman QB to win 10 games in this conference. We aren’t beating Clemson with who we have now. But we can beat UF, FSU and the coastal with just good QB play. This is another dumb *** argument put forward by NoleVern. Tua was the Heisman runner up and couldn’t even beat Clemson with Bama. We aren’t at that level with anyone on our roster right now. But I also think we can win majority of our games with just good QB play

Dingbats in here acting like we have noodle arm qb’s, all of our QBs can make all the throws and have more than enough arm.

Arm strength means nothing if you can’t read a defense , know how to throw guys open with touch , accuracy and leadership.

Like Mike Leach said “ give me an accurate qb over any thing else and I can work with it”.

This could be the dumbest thread going and that’s an amazing accomplishment for op.
 
Last I saw qbs are not just arms but also have attached body, legs, and head. Just an arm will not do it. They also need some outside help with surrounding talent and coaching. You don't necessarily need to be superb in each facet to be successful but all need to work together and complement and at times compensate for each other.

Your take is so naive. If Jarren doesn't win it he just wasn't good enough. I trust the coaches to make the right call so I am not rooting for any one guy. You are better off praying Jarren transfers to FSU if he doesn't start.
 
Tate and Williams both are the truth . Perry doesn't have the head for this game. He needs to go star in porns or something .
 
The last time Miami prayed was with Mark Richt so I'm not praying at all.Im hoping we can at least have a decent oline and decent qb play.I don't care who wins as long as it helps the team out

The ACC has sucked for the last 15 years

We have had mediocre QB's the last 15 years

We have won 10 games once in the last 15 years in this supposedly horrible conference

Now you say we easily win 10 games with another mediocre/below average QB because the ACC sucks this year even tho it always has?

Do we not see a trend here??

Whats the difference? Please elaborate?

Only way we win 10 games with another mediocre to below average QB is if our defense scores 8 touchdowns again and forces another 33 turnovers
