Not arguing he isn’t a good coach. But more than 8 wins 2 times in 12 years? Avg 6 wins a year in 12 years. I’m just saying it’s not the home run hire they probably won’t over there. He is probably better off at Kentucky. IMO

Probably not him, but that’s not the point. The poster was trying to equate Stoops to Manny and that’s just not accurate.

That's what they get for backing up the Brink's truck for a coRch that was 5-7 in His last year at His last stop. As soon as Winston & Cook left the building we saw what kind of coRch He was. An infinite NIL budget & Hellcats were a disastrous combination for a corCh like Fisher.

It’s not about stoops being manny. It’s about barely doing a coaching search for a guy that should be plan C considering you have a blank check.

If Miami fired Mario and hired stoops how do you think this fan base would react?

You're right, he isn't the coach A&M wants but they need to be realistic about which coach they can get right now. Unless Urban is unretiring I don't see them getting the perfect coach.

Also, we need to keep perspective when talking Kentucky football. That program was nothing before Stoops. Their football program was the equivalent of Vanderbilt. Winning 7, 7, 7 8, 10, and 10 games at Kentucky is HARD, especially when you consider them playing in the SEC. Kentucky isn't the type of program you win big at in football. Stoops built Kentucky from nothing so telling me Stoops wouldn't win at Texas A&M is hard for me to believe.

Well good for Jedd. A&M fans must really want an offensive minded HC then. I know Fisch had a good year at Arizona but Stoops > Fisch.
