He does that every time he’s about to be fired. It’s like Auburn thinks they’re a blue blood or something.

Wish I could feel some type of way about this but sadly our Canes have me dead inside. Sad state of affairs with no end in sight.

while the corch of your team loses to Duke and FIU in back to back games ... think a Saban-coached team would do that ? Saban will fire the dead wood on the D and Bama will be back in the mix sooner than Miami will.

i don't like Bama but i sure as **** respect Saban and what their program has accomplished.

some of you little girls need to grow up and do the same. Adults respect people who have earned it.

Not exactly shocking that the Alabama defense softens and underachieves as soon as they become more spread dependent on offense
 
I'll expand on that a little bit

Alabama rushing attempts per game:

2014...40.50
2015...42.80
2016...42.60
2017...43.71
2018...38.07
2019...33.83

Not really surprising at all. Don Shula was somehow praised for adapting to Marino. Meanwhile the rushing attempts plummeted and the overall physicality of the team collapsed. Same thing with later career Bobby Bowden, once he supposedly learned from Steve Spurrier that you don't have to run the football.

Older coaches historically become more lazy and rely on throwing the ball. Tua enabled Saban to believe the dirtywork in the trenches was no longer necessary. We'll see if he smartly recognizes his philosophical gaffe.

Mdp, I have gratitude for you as one of the posters that woke me up from being behind Diaz in the beginning, although I must say that I had been doing a slow burn after we gave up 10 sacks to the turds.

That said you have never been a big proponent of the bag game as I have been, I remember you going off on me about it one time Lol. I of course know that if Saban where to come here we would get better results only an idiot would argue that. What I am saying is that if he went anywhere else besides the 6 programs that truly give a **** about being in the playoffs and had to deal with their admins and the resources the boosters have to offer, I think he doesn’t end up with anywhere near the same type of results.

This. I don’t get what the problem here is but this is an issue some posters have with understanding the crux of the Tears threads so I’ve just accepted that it’s different strokes for different posters.

Manny absolutely sucks and Saban might be the best ever but he’s not a likable person and people just enjoy watching that miserable SOB suffer. That’s all it is. You don’t see the same hate for Dabo or Eddie O.
 
Nicky boy should have spent more time making sure his coaches could count to 11 than making Geico commercials.

I don't respect a **** thing that program has done. They cheat. And he got out coached yesterday and whined like a ***** about it.

You can look no further than Texas or Texas A&M to see programs that want to win but haven't found the right coach. Coaching matters. It matters a ton. Saban made LSU into a champion, and turned Bama into a dynasty. I love my canes but hate our administration. I'd love nothing more than to get Saban and an admin who gives a **** at my alma mater. I admire and envy Bama and the other regular powers for investing in winning.
