a few things that were maddening yesterday (Duke debacle)

his mom went off on twitter about something gattis did in the locker room. I guess a trash OC called this the worst offense hes seen or some **** (I dont disagree bc the offense sucks *** and can't score but gattis is at fault for that too and a huge fault for that). basically, she referenced him going to USC.
Lol if true. Wheels falling off everywhere.

I like Keyshawn myself and prefers he stays but if he's out so be it. Had his chance to become #1 WR and has done nothing. Couple nice TD returns against FCS teams but aside from that, nothing this year really.

there's a ton of issues on this team/program, its never just one thing. But a couple of things were maddening to me yesterday during the game.

First, there were about 3 situations near the goal/red zone where I kept thinking,''Watch the QB draw'' with Riley Leonard (who is a good athlete) and our defense seemed completely unprepared for it (and Duke was highly successful with it). But you had to know that when you play Duke some sort of QB keeper(draw, counter, sweep, whatever) is a possibility, especially on 3rd downs. I dont know if it's our coaches not alerting our guys, or preparing for it, or the players just not having enough football IQ (something Ive harped on a lot recently)

Then near the end of the first half, UM gets the ball somewhere near midfield and about 2.20 left on the clock with a timeout. Plenty of time to do something. Well, they proceed to run the ball three times for all of 10 yards, and by the time the chains are moved, there was less than a minute left, and Garcia ended up throwing an INT. That was one of the worst two-minute drives Ive ever seen. There was no tempo or urgency, on top of really conservative play calling.

Later on, we had a 3rd and 3, and we were down in the second half, you kinda knew this was a 4-down situation. Well, one of the plays was a rollout to the left with a right-handed QB. The play never seemed to have a chance. Why in the world are we running that, at all. I just don't get it. That drive ended with an incomplete pass, and the rest of the game devolved into a turnover-fest

Is this players or coaches, or a bit of both?

I can't really tell you, but it aint' good.

Anyways, hope everyone has a good Sunday

Yup

That was my last shred of faith in Gatis casually strolling out of that cursed park forever.

Done with this insanity. That was quick.

thats kinda everyone on the offense though lol. everyone looks worse lol.

also, I will agree losing Key isnt a big loss imo. we can replace him. the issue is were not recruiting WR well enough to even withstand transfers there and were not getting elite portal WRs under Mario

I coined the right-handed rollout to the left the Cuban rollout back during my HS days ages ago. Seemed Miami High, who had a Cuban QB at the time, was the only team my HS faced that did that. Couldn't explain it then and still can't. Our program - coño!

Agreed. Not 1 player looks better this year than last (excluding portal players since they were on different teams) which is a damning indictment of the staff. That said, if Colbie Young can eat in this offense, Key should be able to make some plays. With TVD throwing the ball 40-50 times a game, those balls have to go somewhere. If you're good, get open.

if we didnt shift the O to fit TVD more, do you think young looks even remotely good?

Last year we were one of the fastest teams in CFB this year we look like a monkey humping a football in every two minute situation. Situationally we’re bad in every facet. How we don’t have a spy inside the ten is mind blowing. Or at least blitz the A gaps to force him out of the pocket to take away half the field. Mind blowing.

This was a TD on 3rd & 9.

Oh my god, the tempo at which we move is atrocious, the whole tone of the season was set by our Head Coach and Offensive Coord. It's almost as if the O Coord didnt even look at what worked last year, or he looked at it and was like Nah, that;s not going to work this year. I am going to ruin TVD. Make no mistake the drop off in his play is all on the O Coord.

There was an instance where we stared at the sideline with 18 seconds on the play clock and snapped the ball with 3 seconds left, the result of that long stare? Garcia getting blown up by a Corner Back........ I'm not even asking for a snap every 10 seconds, but my goodness pick it up. .

OHHHH, I screamed at the TV on that roll out to the left. Then I laughed.

I hate this, well once we get a new Coord in all will be well, we've gone through this so many times. I believe the coaches thing once we get our players in our system will work. Well I hope they are all NFL All Pro caliber offensive lineman.

No way Mario should be 3-4 at this point. This has been a failure so far.

The locker room is slipping away...

Terrible design even most All-Pro safeties can't make that play 2 on 1. Steele has been a mess.
but vish is gonna tell us the coordinators are fine its all execution. there is no executing that. there is no executing lack of adjustments In your protection based on a pre snap alignment that a ******* OC sitting in the booth should be able to see clearly. its putting kids in failing spots to never succeed without making super human plays. in the game day thread, you can clearly see the draw coming. it was open every time. we didnt even bother to adjust .

Has anyone ever seen consecutive QB draws called in a football game at any level? That was the most disrespectful shít I've witnessed in my lifetime.
They knew we couldn’t or wouldn’t stop it; I mean at some point take the qb’s ***n head off and send a message

It’s definitely both. Both coaches and players should share equal blame.

Correct but if you look closely, there is a Linebacker out of position as well on the left side of the pick. I believe it’s Keontra.
