A day to think about last night

We didn't look like a 11 win team last night.. I think both LSU and VT are better than LSU... We looked sluggish on defense . Offense didn't look good at all.. both Homer and DJ avg 4 yards a carry.. don't know why we didn't keep feeding the... receptions were exceptional catches.. haven't seen the game yet on TV I know it's going to be painful...

Make sure you have a large glass of your favorite alcoholic beverage handy before you turn it on ....

Great point. There were almost no easy pass catches. Our QB play was much worse than the stats.............whereas LSU actually had some easy catches that were dropped.

It just seems like Rosier can't ever hit anyone in stride. As an offense we seem to have abandoned the short and intermediate middle of the field (except for the pick 6). I found the playcalling frustrating, but I'm not sure how you call plays when you have to avoid that part of the field. Just seems odd to me that we don't have a single QB that the coaches aren't confident in (given that Rosier is still starting) and we whiffed on a 2019 QB - not a good feeling.

QB and punter are the worst; OL hasn’t showed improvement either; DL is ok but has depth issue.

Very painful. I was struck how LSU played like a Randy coached team— tons of delay and procedure penalties and burning timeouts just to get one play off. Then I was struck that we were being out coached by said team.

It is just one game, but if we don’t make some serious changes to personnel (QB/sub packages on D) we won’t win 10 games. Also special teams are atrocious but I don’t know how you fix a punter who can’t punt.

Nah after watching this game LSU would blow out both VT and especially FSU... FSU looks bad.

Both are our rivalries so I expect some good games but Miami should definitely win both... with a freshman qb of course.

**** we won 10 last year with him. I honestly think that. We don’t play another defense like that but don’t get it twisted I still think Malik isn’t very good.

Last year we were plenty lucky tho. Easily could of lost vs ga tech if we didn't complete that 4th down, similar situation vs Fsu where they played a pencil at QB. Those two wins were so so close, more so lucky imo.

I don't think VA tech n ND were flukes, think that's the ceiling of seeing this team play tho. Along with other factors like home field, turnovers those two games just clicked for us.

This “it’s just one game” stuff I keep seeing is nonsense.

It’s one thing to look rusty and maybe lose a close ugly game vs a mediocre team.

We got humiliated on a national stage vs a meme head coach.

Quit sugarcoating this.
Yup It’s 4 games.

- Gerald Willis is a stud. 4TFL
- Jeff Thomas stud.
- Garvin is the goods.
- I honestly thought OLine played OK
- Deejay and Homer are good
- Defense is good but idk why we sub so much and when we do why we put guys like Knowles in
- Feagles blows
- Malik is not the answer

Now if we stick with Malik I know we can still finish with 11 wins bc we won’t play another defense like LSU. I’d start Perry next three games see how he is and if it doesn’t work out I guess we have to go with Malik. (I’m rooting for Perry to step up)

And I also don’t know why tf people are calling for richts job we lost one ******* game after having our best season in the past decade. I understand people not liking richt jr lol cuz I sure as **** don’t. But how about a little confidence

11-1 we try our luck against Bama.. I mean Clemson
Stop smoking Crack!!!! Not winning 11 games with MaStink at QB for the rest of the season. Even if so, I’d rather not see him at the helm! Let the other boys get their feet wet and focus on the future cause MaStink is sinking the Ship!

I think the most disappointing thing about last night was coming to the realization that Ohio State's 3rd string QB from last season (Joe Burrow, now LSU QB) is better than our 1st string QB (Malik Rosier) from the past 2 seasons. I can't believe we're that behind at the most prominent position in all of football.

-We won't be back until we find a QB. A passing QB, not a run-first type guy. This ain't OU or Nebraska from the 80's.
-Why was Malik continuously scrambling to his left when breaking containment, instead of going right to make it easier to throw on the run?
-Our play calling has got to get better. Offense was too bland and our defense took unnecessary risks at times.
-I was at the game and it seemed to me the fans had more juice than some of our players. Stands were crunk. Sidelines, ehhh.
-To make matters worse we didn't get many, if any breaks from the officiating crew. Seems like all the 50-50 calls went against us. The Bandy ejection. LT #77 for LSU never being called for false start. The 15-yard penalty on the punt when our guy got flipped on his head. The phantom running into the punter penalty. The late hit on the QB by D. Jackson. The goal-line catch call, that shows the ball being dropped. I'm sure I can go and on, but enough of that.
-On a positive note, I was extremely encouraged by many of the newcomers. Hightower, Brevin, Blades, Ivey, Njoku, etc. Add those kids to the youngin's who played last season and I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. We've still got a ways to go. And although we're not as close as many may have thought prior to last night's game, we're not as far as some may think today.

On a side note, is there any reason why there was no smoke coming out of the tunnel when the players ran out?
